Jakarta's new LRT system is an epic disaster
Normally I don't do videos to complain, but LRT Jabodebek, Jakarta's second operational LRT system, deserves it. It's one hot mess. Power outages, stranded trains, slow trains and very limited operational hours are just some of the main complaints. Let's run through them all to see if this tide can be turned.

Outside some of the tourist destinations in the city of Semarang, I also visited the Dutch war cemetery Kalibanteng. I had passed it a few times in the past already but never got to actually visiting it. I have previously also visited the Menteng Pulo and Ancol war cemeteries in Jakarta, but that was years ago already.
In between the airport of Semarang and Siliwangi Road, the former Grote Postweg, you can find this Dutch war cemetery. Over 3,100 victims of the war are buried here, most of them civilian victims of the infamous Japanse concentration camps in Central Java, like Ambarawa, Banju Biroe, Lampersari and Karangpanas. This war cemetery is open seven days a week from 07:00 to 18:00 local time, as per creation of this video in August 2020.

In the upcoming video this weekend my train trip from Kuala Lumpur to Padang Besar, both in Malaysia. The KTM ETS train runs this five and a half hour trip almost due north and brings me right to the border with Thailand, which I later crossed.
I arranged a single window seat in business class for the trip to have a little bit more space around me, not to bother others with me walking up and down the train but also to get a tea time snack and a lunch later on.

Yogyakarta, the second biggest tourist destination for international tourists - at least before the borders shut because of the pandemic - has seen tourists returning once again. The only thing is, they are all domestic tourists. As foreigners are still not allowed into Indonesia as a tourist, it's domestic tourists that now try and restore their tourism industry with mainly weekend trips to many locations across the archipelago. Yogyakarta always has been a favorite place for domestic tourists to visit, and this hasn't changed much. It was just put on hold for quite some time.

This episode is 100% luxury. I think it’s quite hard to beat this level of luxury at an airport lounge anywhere in the world. That’s why I didn’t really bother with the regional business class products I flew in the last few days. I knew if I survived that, it would be all luxury starting in Hong Kong.
This video is part of my 'Cathay Pacific error fare' run that I made in August 2019. After just over seven months of planning and waiting, it finally happened and I was a paid customer in Cathay Pacific's first class! Yeah, I only paid for the error fare of some 850 USD for the entire trip, but still, I was a paid customer.
