It’s important to understand logos, ethos, and pathos as the basis for persuasion and how that factors into everyday conversation.
It’s also very relevant to the logical fallacies that I have been covering to better understand the base concepts of what each fallacy is corrupt in. Typically logical fallacies are a fallacious use of logos, ethos, or pathos in an attempt to confuse or manipulate someone

Gab has been getting a lot of backlash for its strict stance on pornography claiming that they are still in support of free speech but banning all pornography on their platform. Let’s talk about it.
It has taken a turn for the worse as the CEO has begun denouncing Twitter users and moralizing at people his own personal religious views from the company account. It’s one thing to hold certain values and it’s another to actively push them on others.
I honestly think that porn should be kept on porn sites because if our social platforms are full of pornography and explicit content then how can children use it, how can you use it at work, or in any professional environment? Social media is supposed to be about communication, not about pornography. For the same reason that pornography websites are not social media platforms, I don’t think social media platforms should be pornography websites. You have to also consider that they have to pay to host the content and when you’re introducing so much more legal issues and liabilities which will make it much more challenging for users to use the platform anywhere at any time as social media platforms should be used, then it’s much easier and more sensible to just outright rid of porn. You must also consider that it’s hard to prove consent, age, etc. in short clips and if they had to manually review it, it would be extremely cumbersome.
For me, free speech includes everything related to unrestricted speech including hate speech. But pornography has many limitations and legal restrictions that one could then argue it’s not necessarily speech or that it wouldn’t be included in free speech given all the legal restrictions already imposed on it.
After watching TheQuartering’s video on this I’ve since walked back my original position that pornography isn’t necessarily speech and while I don’t in any way see it as foundational to free speech, I don’t believe there can be any exceptions for what is or isn’t free speech outside the legal definition https://youtu.be/qXWSEVm2qmk
I am totally open to both sides of this argument and to having my mind changed. I’m still slightly leaning towards Gab’s side of this issue, but I don’t respect the arguments being made from a religious standpoint because religion has no authority on free speech. I also don’t respect the unprofessional behavior of the Gab account on Twitter and the behavior of the CEO regarding this topic.
That being said, I’d love to hear from you on what you think about all of this. Please leave a comment below. I will be sure to read and respond to them all. Thank you!

I recently had the chance to discuss Pepo with Jason Goldberg who is the founder and CEO. We got to talk about some of their new features, what Pepo is all about, how it started, and where it’s going. Check it out!
Meet people sharping the crypto movement. Pepo is the best crypto user experience ever made. It’s blazing fast. Simple. Human. Pepo removes many of the icky bits that have limited crypto mass-adoption while making crypto about the people, not just the technology. It’s an app the entire movement can get behind.
Pepo is so fast, so easy to use, that you’ll reimagine what’s possible with crypto. Whether you’re a crypto developer, podcaster, analyst, or blogger, there’s never been an easier way to showcase your work, earn appreciation, and connect with the community.
It’s made up of short videos feeling similar to something like Snapchat or TikTok where you can collect more than just likes, you earn Pepo Coin for every like you receive running on the OST blockchain.
These are some of the questions we went over:
• Can you tell us a little bit about yourself? – 0:15
• What does your average day look like? – 1:56
• Can you give us a brief introduction to Pepo? – 7:47
• What problem does Pepo solve? – 10:08
• What are the next big updates for Pepo to release soon or that are in the works? – 13:56
• What measure do you have in place to prevent people from abusing the free Pepo gift for new joiners? - 16:29
• How did Pepo get its name and what was the original idea or motivation to start it? – 17:42
• Where does Pepo fit in with other existing similar projects? – 18:54
• Where do you see Pepo going in the next year? The next 5 years? – 23:36
• How does Pepo and OST work together? - 24:48
• What is the current userbase size and how well is the project growing? – 26:30
• So where can everyone go to learn more about this? – 27:26

Before you can achieve success in growing your wealth, you need to cover the basics of investing, budgeting, and accounting. What you do not track, you cannot optimize. So here’s my templates and how I use them for personal finance.
The easiest and cheapest way to get started is with a spreadsheet. I’m going to share with you what I use and how you can too. I bet you didn’t think this was going to an hour-long video on my investing, budgeting, and passive income tracking templates which you can download for free below, but it is. These are the tools you can use to better your personal finances. While you can download applications for these things, this is the free, basic way on a good old spreadsheet. All I am providing is some guidance, how I use these templates, and the templates themselves to get you started.
For TFSA contributions, it varies year to year so keep that in mind: https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/tax/individuals/topics/tax-free-savings-account/contributions.html
## Investing (2:45):
There is a plethora of applications out there for tracking your investments, but again, the easiest and most flexible way to track your investing is with a simple spreadsheet. If you want to learn how I use this template to track my stocks and contributions, follow along with the video instructions and guidelines below.
This one is a little complex however the complexities just lie in adjusting various values like converting all the values to the right currency if you are trading in multiple market with varying currencies and adjusting data to ensure you are covering everything correctly.
Essentially, I’ve setup this template where you can just have to plug in the stock and click the “Stocks” data type in Excel. From there, you can pull stock specific data which I have done for everything you will likely need. All you have to do is input the stock, add how much you purchased, update the average price (which would be the same with $0 fees) to include the bookkeeping fees taken by your exchange or bank, and the dividend yield.

## Passive Income Tracking (36:40):
This is an extra mostly meant to help motivate you from seeing your passive income growth and projected growth. I used Joseph Carlson’s original template and made a few changes but you can get his original template here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OJNaygQsWVmttIEePSyphwS45d12cQazY4DO-Vbw4JQ/edit?usp=sharing
When you get paid dividends, you should then update your Monthly Dividend Amount and Actual Income in the table of the spreadsheet. The only thing you really need to worry about is adjusting the chart data once you get a year or so in and want to see all the data graphed. Otherwise it should be as simple as adding in the dividends and seeing the visualization of how your wealth is growing via the graph.

## Budgeting (43:45):
There are many budget applications out there that you can take advantage of out there. However, if you want to track everything on a simple spreadsheet or at the very least follow along with how I budget to get a sense of direction, follow along with the video instructions and guidelines below.
Budgeting is such a crucial skill and starts with a diligence to want to save money or more importantly, the desire to have more wealth. Then it’s about tracking expenses and where your money is going. At first, it’s not so important that you’re looking to cut expenses, but simply to get a holistic look at what you spend money on and to gain more awareness of your day to day decisions for personal finance.
Over time, simply from tracking, you will begin to see places where you can cut back and if you want to have more money for investing, I recommend you do.
The way my template is setup is I have my monthly and yearly expenses listed and then I track the exact spend and the estimated expense cost for the year. This allows me to set a reasonable budget limit for that expense and allocate funds I need to be able to cover that. Once I’ve plotted everything out, I can see exactly how much money I will need for the entire year. If you can stick to your budget, you will be much more financially successful. Even if you don’t, you will be able to see where you’re making mistakes and at least be aware of them, but hopefully you will choose optimize your finances too.
Budgeting Spreadsheet Template Link: https://mega.nz/file/pC4kxC4B
With these three templates, you now have all the tools you need for success with your personal finance. There are many investing, budgeting, and accounting strategies and you can get as in-depth as you’d like, but this is meant to give you a thoroughly explained starting point.

Hey everyone, today I’d like to go through the growth over the past year for both crypto-monetized and blockchain social platforms. Let’s compare them to get an overview of how they all performed and grew.
So, we are going to dive in briefly to each platform to take a look at their statistics/user growth charts and or any information I can query from their staff.
https://www.uptrennd.com/stats - By far the most impressive for a new platform. The last two months they saw more than 13,000 users joining and have gone from just over 8,000 users in August to hitting 50,000 this month.
https://batgrowth.com/ - By far the most adoption and growth overall (not a social platform necessarily, but relevant to this conversation). They have over 346,353 users. From October 28th to December 6th they gained over 20,000 YouTubers alone. Congratulations to Brave & BAT.
https://www.publish0x.com/stats - Treading along steadily growing averaging between 2,500 and 3,500 new users per month. I’m actually surprised it’s not more!
https://steemworld.org/ - According to Steemworld there are currently 1,345,487 accounts. https://steemit.com/steemit/@penguinpablo/daily-steem-stats-report-friday-december-6-2019 - This says they are getting about 300 new users a day on average and 9,000-10,000 a month
https://lbry.tv/ - As per my request on Twitter they made a temporary link which may or may not work for you at the time of posting: https://traction.lbry.com/public/question/eeed5322-ef18-42f0-9c2b-9d0d1e8401a3. They were able to share with me the distinct network user accesses per month for 2018 and 2019. The blog version of this will share the images detailing this and I cover it in the video.
https://www.minds.com/ - Unfortunately, I couldn’t get any statistics and given they are a quasi-public company they cannot share this information ahead of their formal announcements, but the Co-Founder John Ottman said to me when asked about this “we are adding tens of thousands of news users mo
I've found a lot of people struggle to pursue their passion or to find their passion to begin with and there is a lot of stigma and shame around not knowing or pursuing it that people avoid talking about or being open about it which keeps them from getting more involved and learning more and moving forward. This may not be you, but a lot of people just live for the weekend. I'd like to address these fears and concepts and I draw an interesting parallel between financial literacy and pursuit of passion. You must sacrifice, focus on it, talk about it and learn more, you can't just want it. Everyone wants money. It's not a goal because everyone wants it, just like breathing oxygen isn't a goal. This isn't to say you shouldn't strive for wealth, but you should strive for passion and the wealth will come.
Let me know what your passion is and or your thoughts about this in the comments below.

From crypto cards to Bitrefill, crypto is becoming more easily accessible and spendable. With so many ways to spend your crypto and given May is #fiatfree month, I’d like to share with you how I’m paying my bills and covering almost everything with crypto.
With everything we cover, I’ve managed to pay everything except my bills which Joel Valenzuela aka TheDesertLynx has a lot of content on how you can do that and my roommate prefers to be paid in fiat for the rent.
Aside from that, I’ve managed to purchase everything from groceries, Uber, takeout, cellphone bills, internet bills, my online subscriptions like Adobe, all Amazon orders, and my alcohol. This is an awesome way to realize the potential of crypto and start setting a standard for myself to live off of as I aim to cover all my expenses by the end of the year with crypto.
These are the main ways I spend crypto and will go over them in the video:
• Direct crypto payments
• Crypto to Paypal solutions (LEOexchanger)
• Crypto cards (Bitvo & Localcoin)
• BitRefill.com
• Amazon (For any cards you couldn’t get on Bitrefill)
My first upload about Bitvo and Localcoin was 5 months ago where I just started to seriously spend crypto and you can find that here: https://lbry.tv/@ScottCBusiness:4/can-you-spend-crypto-anywhere-ep-205:6
Do note that for the crypto cards I covered, these are just for Canadians, and cards vary from country to country. The other methods should all work correctly.
How do you spend your cryptocurrency? What services do you utilize? Make sure to share with everyone in the comments as the more solutions we have, the better. Also don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe!

I recently had the chance to discuss DapsCoin with Andrew Huntley who is their chief technical officer and learn a little more about what they’re up to and what makes DapsCoin unique.
DAPS aims to become the new standard of privacy in altcoins. To enact this vision, the specs of DAPS were carefully crafted to create a unique coin protocol for the crypto world, with the ultimate goal of mass adoption. They have the most private privacy coin that I’ve seen yet presenting new solutions and addressing unaddressed issues in the many privacy coins existing today.
These are some of the questions we went over:
• Can you tell us a little bit about yourself? – 0:17
• How busy are you now / How does your day look? – 1:18
• Can you give us a brief introduction to Daps and Daps Coin? – 2:48
• Monero was recently hacked, what are your thoughts? – 4:47
• Daps Coin is similar to Monero, but Daps has built upon the technology greatly. Do you want to walk us through that? – 5:49
• Can you explain how the stealth addresses work on Daps? – 9:54
• By default some coins don’t have privacy enabled, but Daps does, can you explain that? – 11:30
• What are the next big updates for Daps to release soon or that are in the works? – 15:11
• Where does Daps Coin fit in with other existing privacy coins? – 17:28
• Where do you see Daps going in the next year? The next 5 years? – 20:00
• What is the current userbase size and how well is the project growing? – 34:50
• Will you or any of your team be attending any upcoming crypto or blockchain related events? – 35:42
• Can you share with everyone where they can go to learn more about this? – 39:23
• Is there anything else you would like to share? – 40:20
Check out https://officialdapscoin.com/ for more information and to learn more about what they have to offer.
What do you think about Daps? Is it the only truly private coin out there? Is there anything better? You tell me! Let me know what you think about this in the comments below and don’t fo

I had the pleasure of chatting with Uri Klarman about Bloxroute where he works as the CEO. We went over what Bloxroute does, what they are doing now, how they’re contributing to blockchain technology, but most importantly, what they plan to do in the future.
BloXroute is a Blockchain Distribution Network (BDN) that utilizes a global network of servers optimized for network performance. In other words, bloXroute allows the
Nodes access this network through open source Gateways and anyone can access it through the bloXroute public-API.
This is done with no protocol changes, gradually deployed, and is provably neutral. They support many major chains such as Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash.
These are some of the questions we went over:
• Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
• How and when did you originally get into cryptocurrency
• Can you give us a brief introduction to Bloxroute?
• What problem does Bloxroute solve?
• How have you and Bloxroute been affected by the virus and lockdown?
• How did Bloxroute get its name and what was the original idea or motivation to start it?
• What are the next big updates for Bloxroute to release soon or that are in the works?
• Where does Bloxroute fit in with other existing similar projects?
• Where do you see Bloxroute going in the next year? The next 5 years?
• What are your thoughts on the Bitcoin halving and do you think we will see a bullish run soon? How will that impact Bloxroute?
• If any crypto influencer could join Bloxroute who would you choose?
• So where can everyone go to learn more about this?
Check out http://bloXroute.com for more information and to learn more about what they have to offer.
