Deuteronomy: Regulations concerning War Isaiah: Prediction of Babylon’s Fall Psalms: “LORD, help!” they cried in their trouble, Revelation: The Great Prostitute Nihilism: We finish the last chapter (Beyond Nihilism), the main thing that stood out to me was that nihilism is not the end goal, but the step required to bring about something truly "new", he didn't say this outright, but with many words: Hell on Earth.
Numbers: The Lord does not appreciate those who didn't approve of Moses marrying a Cushite woman, and punishes Miriam with leprosy! They scout the land and run into the Nephilim (giants) too
Isaiah: The Lord will punish those who rely on human doings and worship idols
Psalms: A dark psalm, reminds me of Ecclesiastes, the wealth of the wicked cannot be taken beyond the grave and will be forgotten
Hebrews: The old covenant was canceled, the old way of repetitive sacrifices that remind man of sin is over and replaced with Christ's eternally cleansing blood as a way to enter the Most Holy Place
The Arena: Dangers of contemplating Satanic (even if not outright, Romantic novels were given as an example) media planting seeds of downfall

00:01:18 - Genesis 38
00:48:18 - Reading from "Beginning to Pray"
In Genesis we read a story about Joseph's brother Judah, the sin of his son Onan and other sexual drama. In Job we read the first response of one of his friends. Mark Jesus feeds 4000 and brings up the number of loaves and leftovers again, this time 7 loaves and 7 baskets of leftovers along with more parables and teachings. Romans I describe as a "deep breath of spiritual air", talks about the inseparability of Christ's love.
The reading from "Beginning to Pray" was unexpectedly emotional for me, the story of the publican's prayer is brought up as an example of the "right way" to approach God, we finish the chapter which oozes the Spirit, wonderful lesson.

Deuteronomy: Release for Debtors
Isaiah: The LORD’s Chosen Servant
Psalms: A prayer of one overwhelmed with trouble, pouring out problems before the LORD.
Revelation: The Woman and the Dragon
Nihilism: Finished with "4. The Nihilism of Destruction", ended with a good metaphor of the soul of man as an "eye" which can become diseased by nihilism and took us through the stages from liberalism to destruction.

Apocalypse Animated: https://apocalypseanimated.com/ (where I'll be getting many thumbnails during the reading of Revelation)
Numbers: The story about the man being stoned to death for collecting wood on the sabbath, and more, but that always stood out to me
Isaiah: More excellent Isaiah, so much corresponds to modern times, 5:20 calling out the postmodernist philosophy
Psalms: Labeled Psalm 50 in the Jordanville prayer book, it is a psalm read very often in Orthodoxy, like morning prayers
Hebrews: God's discipline is love, ties into the Arena, do not fear the struggles and pain of doing God's will
The Arena: We finish the 2nd half of the last chapter on repentance and it drove the importance of weeping, and how God allows us to see our sin and then in turn be humbled and repent, the cycle that purifies our souls
Was a bit more loose and went on a few short tangents, reminded me of earlier readings
