The New York Jets are signing veteran offensive lineman Duane Brown to a two-year deal, per multiple reports around the NFL. Brown, 36, played college football at Virginia Tech, and was drafted by the Houston Texans in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft.
On October 30, 2017, Brown was traded to Seattle for CB Jeremy Lane and two draft picks. On July 28, 2018, Brown signed a three-year, $36.5 million contract extension with the Seahawks, keeping him under contract through the 2021 season. He has been in talks with the New York Jets for a while now, but with the season-ending injury to OL Mekhi Becton, Brown is an essential fit, and is now under contract through the 2023 season.
