It is no wonder the Wind River Range was at the top of my bucket list. I could not only be extremely grateful to accomplish this hiking goal, but to do it in great company. Please follow along on a trip through high elevation trails with some of the most spectacular views imaginable. On day one we witnessed destruction from a recent microburst, and big views from photographers point as we continued to our first nights camp. After a nights stay at Hobbs lake we move on to Island lake and the views continue to get better. As we are getting a little more acclimated to the elevation the scenery around Seneca lake is enough to make any struggling hiker forget any pain he/she may have. As we get to island lake the search for the perfect campsite begins and it did not take long. With views from almost every angle I could say every spot felt like it was right from Backpacker magazine. Day three was iconic walk to Titcomb basin. The views along this trail could make the most FKT worthy hiker slow to a snails pace. Lakes, creeks, and mountain views have never seemed so precisely placed. even the occasional contrast of white snow seemed like it was painted on the most perfect canvas. Day four was a sad day. A day of departure. A day of parting ways with some good friends. A day of hiking straight back to the car with pictures, videos, and visuals of Gods perfect creation.
