GOD'S PERFECT KNOWLEDGE When we say God has perfect knowledge what does this mean, how has it been understood, what are the various impacts on our view of God's character, man's culpability? Classical Theism, rooted in neoPlatonism, asserts God's knowledge cannot be separated from His decree. Thus God has always known what He decreed which negates any reality of possibilities. God has always known and decreed A, thus B was never a possibility. Now, adherents will often be inconsistent and assert God could have done other than He did, that He was and is free. However, if God has eternally decreed A, eternally known A... then B is impossible for God to know as His knowledge IS His decree. Thus no matter how hard the Theistic Determinist tries to assert he believes God is free, he has placed God in a Platonist prison and bound Him eternally... thus they promote fatalism (if consistent). They assert God's knowledge is perfect because it is knowledge of only facts, only certainties as His knowledge IS His decree. They deny God knows NUMEROUS epistemological categories, yet will assert this is "perfect" knowledge. By which, they mean "perfect" not in a Biblical sense, or one which reflects reality... but according to Greek philosophy. However, when adherents of Dynamic Omniscience speak of God's perfect knowledge, they mean His complete knowledge of all things as they are.
