I also noticed that when the headphones were completely new (ie when I first used them), they had louder and annoying higher frequency tones, but they fixed themselves after several days of use. In general, I think the sound is great, if you do not like too much bass. -By comparing them with Bests EP, they are much more comfortable on the head.
