This is my second year growing cucumbers in my Aquaponics System. This year I’ve added a bunch more Compost worms to increase fertility.
The previous season I had the best luck with cucumbers, they tasted great, had plenty growing. One of the best plants so far.
I use a wire welded fence bent in an arc and drain the vines to cover the flood bed. I might have to add support depending on how well things are growing.

This video shows the current growth rate between 2 hydrangeas. They are both planted at the same time, one is in an aquaponics bed and the other is in the ground, mulched with wood chips.
The hydrangea in the aquaponics bed is almost 10" of new growth as of mid April. The one grown conventionally is about half that.
Quite amazing at the different growth rates.

Basically everything works together to set the height in the grow bed, and provides a vacuum to lower the bed all the way to the bottom. Pretty simple system, you only have to manage the flow rate into the grow beds.

This is my video on growing vegetables, lettuce, sweet potato this year right outside Houston TX. We had the warmest December in quite awhile. Only 2 days of freezing weather so far (now January).
The sweet potato planter pot worked pretty well. About a bag of sweet potatoes so far (didn’t dig very deep).
Other part of the video is looking at the garden beds, st. Augustine grass problem, and growing lettuce, kale, swiss chard, spinach and more.

This is my video on a 3d printed soil cube maker. It is two different sizes, small and large.
A soil cube maker is a tool that helps gardeners create small, perfectly sized cubes of soil for starting seeds or rooting cuttings. It is a handy tool for those who want to propagate plants without the mess and hassle of using soil from the ground. Here is a summary of how a soil cube maker works:
The soil cube maker consists of a tray with small, cube-shaped cavities, and a plunger.
To use the soil cube maker, fill the tray with a soil-less seed starting mix or a rooting medium such as perlite or vermiculite.
Use the plunger to press the soil mix into the cavities, packing it firmly to remove any air pockets.
Once the tray is filled, water the soil mix thoroughly.
Allow the soil mix to drain and set for a few hours, or overnight if possible.
When the soil mix is set, use the plunger to gently push the soil cubes out of the tray.
The soil cubes are now ready to use for starting seeds or rooting cuttings. Simply plant the seed or cutting in the soil cube and water as needed.
Soil cube makers are a convenient way to create small, perfectly sized cubes of soil for starting seeds or rooting cuttings. They are easy to use and can save time and effort compared to using traditional potting soil from the ground. With a soil cube maker, you can easily propagate your favorite plants and enjoy the satisfaction of growing them from seed or cutting.

This video shows the progress made today, 30 plants were planted (blackberry, goji berry, grapes). I am planting a new row in the grass, I dig a hole, place the plant and then cover with cardboard & woodchips.
I am prepping the carrot bed by covering the area with plastic & sealing the ends so that it will heat up the area to sprout weed seeds & then die.
The aquaponics system has sprouted lettuce and the garlic has sprouted to be used as chives. All in all a productive day!
