28.09.2023_Ukraine. Front Braced For Final Assault Of Ukrainian Counteroffensive
The Ukrainian offensive on various fronts has entered the stage of another lull. In the coming days, Kiev is expected to make a final breakthrough attempt in order to achieve any results of its summer campaign. The main direction of the strike should be the front south of Orekhov.
To date, the fronts on the Zaporozhye region remain unchanged. To the south of Orekhov, Ukrainian forces continue attempts to expand the control zone near Verbovoye and west of Rabotino. So far, all their attacks have been repelled. In the area of Velikaya Novoselka, the Ukrainian military curtailed attempts to break through the Russian defense, limiting itself to small assaults for purely tactical purposes.
Artillery duels continue along the frontlines. Ukrainian artillery has a clear advantage in the speed of target detection and the opening of accurate fire. While Russian gunners balance them with a large number of artillery systems and shelling with heavier munitions.
Both sides, taking advantage of the lull, are rotating battered units. Several Ukrainian brigades have been withdrawn to the rear for replenishment. Ukrainian Marine brigades from the Zaporozhye direction have been reportedly transferred to the Kherson region for replenishment, where they can take part in assault across the Dnieper in a few weeks.
In the area of Artemovsk, Ukrainian forces continue attacks along the Kleshcheyevka—Andreevka—Kurdyumovka line, in an attempt to cross the railway and gain a foothold in the villages. In their turn, Russian forces are entrenching in the Orekhovo-Vasilyevka area to the northwest of Artemovsk.
The intensification of fighting in this direction is also expected. The Ukrainian command is forced to transfer reinforcements to the area in order to counterattack in the north and gain a foothold in the south. On the other hand, fighters of the Redoute PMC and the Volunteer Corps arrived to reinforce the Russian grouping and launch counterattacks on previously lost positions. These units include former fighters of the Wagner PMCs, who came under the control of the Ministry of Defense after the Prigozhin mutiny on 24 June.
Meanwhile, on the northern fronts, Russian forces continue their tactical advance west of Svatovo, taking control of about a couple of strongholds per day.
In the Kupyansk area, they still put pressure on the Ukrainian defense in the area of Sinkovka, Petropavlovsk and Kislovka. With precise air strikes, Russian aircraft destroyed another crossing over the Oskol River, complicating the military supplies of the Ukrainian units.
To allow Ukrainian soldiers to save their lives and surrender, the Russian military launched a special radio channel “Volga”. According to reports from the front, over the past month, almost 11 thousand servicemen of the Ukrainian army contacted the Russians through this channel and surrendered.

After the failure of the Ukrainian counteroffensive in the Zaporozhye region, the configuration on the Ukrainian frontlines has changed significantly.
Today Ukrainian forces are trying another offensive in the Kherson region in an attempt to gain a foothold on the eastern bank of the Dnieper River. In their turn, Russian forces continue to push through the Ukrainian defense around Avdeevka, forcing Kiev to transfer large reserves to the area from other regions.
In recent days, the Ukrainian military has not managed to significantly expand the bridgehead on the eastern bank of the Dnieper. Ukrainian units are holding the central part of the village of Krynki. They also continue attempts to cross the river to create another bridgehead near the village of Poima. The Ukrainian military is still present near the Antonovsky road and railway bridges.
The ongoing Ukrainian attacks are aimed to take control of the road on about a 30–kilometer long part of the front. Despite Russian attempts to destroy enemy groups, the Ukrainian military manages to transfer reinforcements, including some heavy military equipment. However, the number of armored vehicles being transferred so far seems to be too small for the implementation of Ukrainian plans. In addition, Russian artillery and aviation are pounding Ukrainian logistics routes both on the western bank and on the islands.
Over the past day alone, 87 Russian heavy FAB bombs with Unified Planning and Correction Modules hit targets in the Kherson region, the Ukrainian authorities said. So far, this is a record.
Meanwhile, the Russian military is encircling Avdeevka, one of the most fortified Ukrainian strongholds in the Donbas.
Fighting is already underway on the territory of the city. On the northern outskirts, battles are ongoing on the territory of the Donetsk filtration station. In the east, Russian forces crossed and gained a foothold across the Donetsk Ring Road in the forest area. According to recent reports, the Russian military attacked Ukrainian positions in the Khimik microdistrict in the southern part of the city. Battles were reported in the Palace of Culture on the very outskirts of the city. Also in recent days, the Russian military has approached the village of Severnoye, but the assault is yet to begin.
The Ukrainian military transferred reserves and launched counterattacks north of Avdeevka. The Russian military was forced to retreat from part of the railway. The front in this area is unstable. Heavy fighting is ongoing, as the Ukrainian command is trying its best to prevent the encirclement of the city.
Video snippets of the Russian Wagner Group w/ (rumoured) their theme song.
Catchy tune.
I love the segments with the western MSM pi$$ing their pants... and bullshitting- of course.
Wagner Grp did not start in Ukraine.
On 7 July, 2023 Washington announced its decision to supply the Ukrainian military with cluster munitions, which was explained as a temporary measure taken until Kiev and its patrons could increase the production of conventional artillery ammunition.
Cluster munitions are extremely dangerous for civilians, because they sometimes they do not detonate for a long time and cause heavy damage in populated areas. Washington confirmed the high risks for the Ukrainian people, but still pushed the dangerous ammunition to Kiev under the guise of assistance.
Amid Washington’s staged concern for the Ukrainians, it turned out that cluster munitions were already deployed on the frontlines.
Just a few days later, a Ukrainian general confirmed that Ukraine had received, but had not yet used this ammunition in combat. The Pentagon had no choice but to confirm the information but it attempted to justify its decision, which was not supported by many of its Western partners. The US military revealed that Ukraine has also received cluster munitions from at least one other country.
Indeed, the Ukrainian military has been actively using cluster munitions since the beginning of the anti-terrorist operation against the population of Donbass in 2014.
RT Documentary concerning the Russian/LPR/DPR Sapper's efforts to demine the Donbass, and the civilians who have to endure this Ukie-nazi, USUKEU-NATO insanity
With the arrival of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to Kiev, the AFU have intensified their operations at the front in an attempt to demonstrate at least some successes from their counteroffensive.
To the south of Orekhov, positional battles and artillery duels continue near Rabotino. In the area of Verbovoye, several Ukrainian groups tried to probe the Russian defense with small attacks, but retreated under heavy fire. After a long pause, Ukrainian forces attempted to attack Russian positions near Kamenskoye in the area of Pyatikhatki, but failed.
Meanwhile, Russian aviation continues pounding Ukrainian rear areas in the Zaporozhye region. Under the strikes of Russian heavy bombs, Ukrainian forces attempt to gain footholds in the recently captured areas to continue their advance.
The main direction of the Ukrainian offensive operations in recent days has been the Novodonetskoe-Novomayorskoye front line located to the southeast of Velikaya Novoselka. So far, Ukrainian attempts to break through the Russian defenses and move forward to force the Shaitanka River failed. The Russian Marines deployed in the area pushed the enemy back to their original positions. The settlements remain under full Russian control.
The situation remains tense in the Kherson direction, where a group of about 30 Ukrainian servicemen landed on Pereyaslavsky Island in an attempt to gain a bridgehead and further attack Novaya Kakhovka. Russian forces quickly spotted the enemy’s maneuver. As a result, the Ukrainian group was reportedly destroyed, those who survived were evacuated to the western bank of the Dnieper.
Meanwhile, a Russian advance was reported in the town of Maryinka in the Donetsk urban agglomeration. The front line in this area has remained almost unchanged for many months; but in recent weeks, the fighters of the Russian 150th division managed to move deeper into the Ukrainian defense in the western part of the town. Footage from the front confirmed the fighting is ongoing about 300 meters from the western border of Maryinka.
Also, Russian assault groups managed to advance in the area of Krasnogorovka, where the Ukrainian military was reportedly knocked out of a heavily fortified stronghold, which they had held for more than 9 years.
The strikes of Russian missiles and drones on military and industrial facilities throughout Ukraine do not stop.
On the morning of 8 September, large explosions thundered in the city of Krivoy Rog in the Dnipropetrovsk region. At night, Russian kamikaze drones again struck targets in the Odessa region. The day before, Ukrainian officials reported the most powerful raid on the Odessa region since the beginning of the Russian special operation.
The intense strikes on Ukrainian port infrastructure leave no hope for the Kiev regime to restore the grain deal and also denies the use the Black Sea coast for attacks on Russian territory.
A movie by the "Wagner" Group.
This 'movie' basically shows "Urban Combat" and "Battery-Counter-battery" Warfare... in an Urban setting. There is NO mention of the SMO-Ukie War in the video.
The style of the movie is very similar to the movie "Escape From Tarkov"
The Russians certainly know how to create a true WAR movie.
While the whole world is following a new bloody war in the Middle East, in Ukraine, Kiev’s counteroffensive turned into the Russian one in 6 different directions.
Under the Russian pressure near Kupyansk, Ukrainian forces abandoned a number of strongholds and retreated to the second line of defense along the Sinkovka-Petropavlovsk line. Fighting continues in Sinkovka, where the Russian military has yet to take control. According to reports from the front, as a result of prolonged fighting in this area, most of the Ukrainian units lost their combat capability, and were hastily replenished with untrained personnel. As a result, Russian forces tactically improved their positions for further advance.
Last week, the Russian army deployed newly created units to strengthen positions near Svatovo. Russian forces area still maintaining the military initiative along the Svatovo-Kremennaya line, and are already approaching the village of Makeyevka in the LPR.
Counter-fighting continues south of Artemovsk, where Ukrainian forces failed to succeed and develop their offensive. Another attempt to attack Russian positions near Ozaryanovka was thwarted by Russian artillery fire.
In recent days, the Russian army has gone on the offensive on the Donetsk front. The main blow was concentrated on the Ukrainian fortified area in Avdiivka, where the Ukrainian military has been strengthening fortifications during all 8 years of the war in Donbass. After massive artillery shelling and heavy airstrikes, Russian assault units launched attacks in different directions.
On the southern outskirts of the city, Russian troops crossed the railway and entered the forest area nearby. There they are storming large Ukrainian stronghold. At the same time, Russian assault armored groups broke through Ukrainian defences south-east of the village of Severnoye and are approaching Avdeevka from the south-western direction.
North of the town, Russian forces took control of a strategically important stronghold on a dominant height near the Avdeevka coke chemical plant. Ukrainian manpower and equipment hidden on the territory of the large plant is pounded by Russian forces.
Heavy battles are ongoing near the village of Berdychi and in Stepovoe north-west of Avdeevka.
The Ukrainian grouping in Avdeevka risks finding itself in a cauldron. Destruction of Ukrainian military positions there is strategically important for the Russian military not only to straighten the front but also to end the daily Ukrainian attacks on civilians in Donetsk.
The Ukrainian counteroffensive on the Zaporozhye front ended in failure. Amid the heavy artillery duels, small Ukrainian groups still attempt attacks in the area of Rabotino and Kopani, which result in growing losses. In their turn, Russian units counterattack in the area of Verbovoye, knocking the Ukrainian military out of recently occupied positions.
To the east, the front revived along the Zherebyanka – Pyatikhatka line, where Russian forces launched a counterattack and slightly advanced, containing Ukrainian forces in battles.
