Corey Taylor & Rick Rubin FUED
Although producer Rick Rubin is an accomplished producer with many notable hit albums on his resume, Slipknot singer Corey Taylor was less than impressed by the producer's methods. As he told Revolver Magazine in 2008:
"I wouldn't know what it's like to work with Rick Rubin. I only saw him about four times. Rick Rubin is a nice man. He's done a lot of good for a lot of people. He didn't do anything for me. I'm not happy with the vocals on that record. There were a lot of takes that I thought were much better than the ones they f****** used and I wasn't asked about a lot of s***. He was also noted as saying in a different interview:

John Frusciante Unlocked Californication Code for Red Hot Chili Peppers
Californication could have been a very different album because the Red Hot Chili Peppers almost couldn't figure out how they wanted the album's title track to sound. In his autobiography, Scar Tissue, singer Anthony Kiedis reveals that he had written lyrics which he thought were some of his best but the band could not agree on how they wanted to music to represent the lyrics. That is, until one day guitarist John Frusciante had an epiphany and came to the studio claiming he had finally figured out something for the band to work with. It's a good thing that he did because according to producer Rick Rubin the band were pretty close to throwing the song out. Instead, it went from the scrap-room floor and became one of the band's career-defining hits.

The album art which almost resembles a Where's Waldo book was created by East Bay artist Richie Bucher:
in a 2002 interview, Billie Joe said: "I wanted the art work to look really different. I wanted it to represent the East Bay and where we come from, because there's a lot of artists in the East Bay scene that are just as important as the music... There's one guy with his camera up in the air taking a picture with a beard. He’s this guy Murray that's been around the scene for a long time. He took pictures of bands every weekend at Gilman's. The robed character that looks like the Mona Lisa is the woman on the cover of the first Black Sabbath album. Pro: Darker lyrical content than the previous albums.
"We're All To Blame" opens the album in heavy fashion.
Songs such as "Some Say," "Slipping Away," and "Pieces" reveal a softer side of Sum 41.
Con: Final album to feature Dave "Brownsound" Baksh, at least for a few years.
Also final album to feature full classic line-up.

Korn's Jonathan Davis HATES Nu Metal
Korn vocalist Jonathan Davis hates the term nu-metal and prefers to think of Korn as a heavy funk band.
"Yeah, that nu-metal thing. It was funny how they came up with that ****, because when we first came out, no one knew what the **** to do with us. I’d like to find that f***ing writer that coined that term, nu-metal.
When we came out, we toured with everyone from No Doubt, Pennywise, Cadillac Trance, Sick of It All, KMFDM, it was all over the place. So finally someone came up with “nu-metal” and everyone copped our s***. I didn’t understand it, like I never thought of us to be metal to begin with.
Yeah, we’re heavy and downtuned, but metal, to me, is like Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, that’s metal man. I always thought of us as a funk band, that funky groovy... Then Limp Bizkit came up and we found them and took them on tour and blew them up, and all the other bands came and we had a scene which was really good and solidified with the Family Values Tour." - Davis, Rank Your Records... Guttermouth Live At The House Of Blues QUICK Album REVIEW
Filmed at The House of Blues in Anaheim, California. Probably in 2001?
Features a solid set-list spanning the better portion of the band's glory days.
Unfortunately, the recording is not as clear and crisp as Live At The Pharmacy and it sounds like Mark blows out his vocal chords within the first two songs.
However, the live footage is a fantastic insight in to what a wild and out-of-control party Guttermouth shows were known for. Apparently the crowd got worked up in to such a frenzy that the final song of their setlist "Perfect World" only appears on the CD portion of the live album because the filming equipment was damaged during the song.
