Viewing authority as an umbrella of protection rather than domination helps us appreciate its importance. Choose Wisely: We have the privilege to choose our church and pastor. If you cannot obey your chosen pastor, consider finding one whom you can follow in faith. God Requires Obedience: Obeying your pastor is ultimately obeying God's command. Disobedience not only disrespects your pastor but challenges God's authority. Seek Order Amid Chaos: Authority is designed to bring order out of the chaos caused by human sinfulness.
