Part 1- Iowa Interstate Railroad tracks Washed out by Spring Storm, April 2013
Hi Guys, Video-Photos by me and a Friend of mine from Henry, IL On April 17th and 18th 2013 one of the largest rain-producing storm in recent memory hit the Midwest and caused massive flooding all over North Central Illinois. The Iowa Interstate tracks on Sub 1 Main from Bureau, IL to Silvis, IL was washed out and several spots on Sub 2 to Peoria from Bureau, also washed out. Hi Guys, Here we have a train I have had for a while... never really wanted to post it because I felt it was incomplete. More on that later. But this is MTH's Solid Rocket booster set. I purchased only the cars. I got the Florida East Coast SD70 Later, and the FEC GP38 to go with it. What was incomplete about this set was the buffer cars in between each rocket section.. So I set out to get ribbed box cars, and painted them UP yellow. The only thing I have to do with those now is put UP herald decals on them. But anyway with the SD70, GP38 and Buffer cars, I feel this is now complete and ready to show. So, Here is a short running section.

September 9, 2011 was the date for the Trains, Planes and Automobiles festival in Geneseo, Illinois. My friend and I followed Iowa Interstate's 2-10-2 class steam locomotive #6988 to Bureau Junction, IL and then back to Annawan, Illinois. After that we went to Buda, Illinois to catch BNSF and UP trains. Enjoy!

Illinois Valley's Midwest NMRA meet was in Springfield, Illinois 2012. While touring the layouts around town, I stopped by to see Mr. Gene Heflin's G-scale layout. I have to say that Gene and His wife are the nicest people- and very hospitable! The Layout was fantastic, full of dioramas which brought it all to life! A small N-scale train, filling in for a circus miniuature riding train, a rising hot air balloon, and even a tram going up into a picture of mountains- just a really cool play ground for train lovers of all scales! So sit back and enjoy Mr. Heflin's G-scale layout from the Midwest NMRA convention in Springfield, Illinois!
