It's only connected on a superficial level, since it was made for a game jam which did not allow anything based off of copyrighted chracters and games, hence it was made my own thing. But the very earliest versions of the game, which you cannot see here, started out as an Air Fortress fangame. You can talk to the various creatures in the ocean, but I did not want to reveal what any of them say, even if its nothing special. It was made for the OpenGameArt.org Spring Game Jam of 2020, where it won second place. This video was mostly made to be a sort of trailer video for the game's itch.io page, even if its not in a typical trailer format, but I prefer it like this.
