The Final Game and Prize Giving Ceremony - EasyParcel Team Building 2023
I know the team building organizing committee had prepared a lot of games, but due to time constraints and various circumstances, this was one of the outdoor games they had planned.
Everyone moved swiftly to finish the game as the morning sun slowly heated up the area.
Finally, it was time for the last item on the team building agenda: the prize-giving ceremony.
Due to the high competition during the team building, all the members of EasyParcel got to vote for their MVP from three candidates, not just limited to the organizing committee's team.
After the check-out process, we traveled again by lorry back to Gua Tempurung, where our bus was waiting to take us back to Penang.
If you want to taste local flavour food, you should come to this restaurant when pass by this area - Chenderong, Batu Gajah, Perak, Malaysia.
As you can watch from my video, all the noodles are handmade by the staff. Surprisingly, even the tool also is antique like how will process the rubber tap.
Food is nice and suitable for family, highly recommended to eat their noodle.

A tin dredge is like a floating factory. This one, named Tanjung Tualang Dredge No. 5, or TT5, weighs 4,500 tons and is supported by a pontoon of 75 meters in length, 35 meters in width and 3 meters in depth. It was built in England in 1938 by F.W.Payne & Son which, at that time, was a major design engineering company in bucket line dredges.
Tin dredges work by scooping up bucket loads of tin-bearing soil at the front end, which then passes through an oscillating drum and a system of jigs and screens to extract the tin, before spewing out the waste material at the rear end through a number of chutes.
This dredge was built for the Southern Malayan Tin Dredging Ltd, a company formed in 1926 which operated a further 5 dredges in the Batu Gajah and Tanjung Tualang area. TT5 was in operation for 44 years until 1982 by which time the Malaysian tin industry was in rapid decline due to a combination of exhausted tin deposits, low tin prices and high operating costs.
All the tin mining and dredging activity which took place for over a hundred years has left behind a pockmarked landscape running for hundreds of miles down the length of Peninsular Malaysia. But the scars have filled with water and cleaned up quite well and now serve new roles as fishing ponds, wetlands, water features for housing developments and so on.

So, we meet the tigers in the jungle? Obviously no.
This time we tried the Tiger Hill trail which need to start to hike at area almost near to Kek Lok Si. The location is just beside the Po Lin Buddhist Temple and you can clearly see the vertical Chinese words with 太上老君.
During the beginning of the route, its' just the usual tar/cement road, nothing special but quite steep.
The real fun hiking experience only start from the Tiger Hill trail where practically need to hike all the way up with increasing attitude. The uphill journey is considered challenging if you're not fit but it's still manageable to hike slowly.
Just need to careful about the wet leafs, muddy road and thorny plants.
Since it's literally shaded by the leaf, the overall journey is chilling as we're not exposing directly to the sun.
We actually miss an important junction because the tree is falling down, so walked the wrong way then return again. This means you need to replied on offline map app or follow an experience hiker to try that route.
Once you come out from the Moniot Trail, I think just need to walk around 2KM then will reach the Penang Hill, just flat tar road.
? Route: Penang Hill Lower Station → TXLK (太上老君) - Up from the trail beside the Po Lin Buddhist Temple (https://goo.gl/maps/K8Nnx78K9fpoovpA6) → Tiger Hill → Moniot Trail → Penang Hill
⏱️ Duration: 4 hours+
? Distance: 11.2KM
?️ Start & End Point: Penang Hill Lower Station - https://goo.gl/maps/jPZd6cR1zNqFG5eZ6

??10 Malaysia patriotic songs medley in 1 video.
The whole medley played in C key. Which is not really suitable for certain song. Might need to transpose for better singing range.

Finally, I decided to buy the legendary video-centric hybrid camera for micro four third system in the world right now: Panasonic Lumix GH5.
Obviously, this camera considers one of the best value for a high-quality camera at the market right now. (The time I wrote this still Oct 2018).
Initially, I really want to purchase the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K (or just called it BMPCC 4k) but I already love the in-body stabilization feature of my current Panasonic Lumix G85. Which I not really cannot live without that feature.
Secondly, the battery issue for BMPCC 4k is not comparable to GH5 at all. Starting from GH4, their battery really lasts for so long.
Okay, I do understand my own shooting style. I do take still photo as well.
Another thing is the SD card/CF card/SSD investment that I need to buy if I choose BMPCC 4k. Ya, the Prores is fantastic but you really need good (and expensive) SD card as well.
Not to forget the additional feature like built-in time lapse, flexible flip screen, dual SD card slot that really matters to me.

Tan Jetty is one of the six clan jetties in George Town, Penang. At the end of the houses, Tan jetty is famous for its unique red house.
It's the perfect spot for Instagram (which I think better than Chew Jetty). If the timing is correct, the whole sky will have a few minutes of orange, yellow or even purple colour which is really special during the sunset.

Yup, this time I am brave enough to shoot everything in vlog-L profile despite I know this profile does not perform well in low light.
The maximum I push the limit is at ISO 1600 and I even use 360 degrees on my shutter angle to have the maximum brightness. That setting only used during at the end of the video where the sunset already diminishing.
If you see the video footage that is super sharp, then it's the Voigtländer 17.5mm F0.95 manual lens. Knowing I will almost shoot limited brightness at night, I switch to F0.95 to capture whatever lighting.
Another new thing for me is the whole video I set the noise reduction back to 0 for the vlog L. Every keep suggest the noise reduction should tune to the minimum to have the better quality, but I'm fine with the camera built-in noise reduction.

It's always nice to listen to live music to sing "Shallow" by Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper. Not bad for the female singer and sing in the original key, G major.
