http://TrinityDigitalMedia.com/church-tech On today's Tech Help for Churches, YouTube Encoding Settings
Video can be pretty confusing. What's a codec, what's a wrapper? What's the difference between bit rates and sample rates? What type of sound should you use.
Thankfully, YouTube has given us a list of things to try to get the best video here: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/1722171?hl=en
It's a lot of information, so let me break down the highlights.

http://TrinityDigitalMedia.com/church-tech Responsive vs. Mobile
Screens come in different sizes and resolutions so initially web designers made separate, much simpler sites for mobile devices. When a large data plans were 200 mb, this was a great solution, but not any longer.
Now, a better way of designing sites is to create them so that they react to the size of the screen, rearranging so that they look good no matter what they're viewed on, but with all the same features.

http://TrinityDigitalMedia.com/church-tech On today's Tech Help for Churches, Twitter: Why only 140 characters and how do I tweet shorter
[tweet "Twitter started on the sms platform, so each tweet had to be smaller than that."]
Sometimes people wonder why tweets are so short. Part of it is that twitter started as a text-message only platform. They reserved 20 characters from the 160 character limit and so there were only 140 left.
So how do you make the most of those? Tweet the most important piece of information. Swap "and" for "&". Remove extra spaces. Try text speak such as "b" instead of "be" or "l8tr" instead of "later". Also, try looking for shorter synonyms.

So why would you use messages and how do you do it? Watch this screencast and I'll show you. By the way, I left out adding the stage display message icon to the toolbar and an alternate place to bring up the tool, but there's another screencast all about the toolbar that you can check out (if you haven't already).

On today's Tech, No Babel: Using a live video production switcher
If you don't know what they all do, looking at a live video switcher can boverwhelming. Let's face it, it looks like if you hit the wrong button, the Death Star will blow up Alderann. (There's a reason for that. The controls of the Death Star in Star Wars were just a repurposed video switcher.)

http://TrinityDigitalMedia.com You don't know your potential
One of the strongest claims someone can make is something that's true "by definition." For example, a 2D circle can't have any angular edges by definition.
Likewise, it's true, by definition, that you don't know your full potential. If you did and you acted on it, it wouldn't be potential, but actual.
Some people don't believe that they have more potential, though.
