The teachings that the Lord had given to the apostles to continue teaching to all the world is sound doctrine. And I'm telling Timothy, Paul is telling Timothy, maintain sound doctrine. "So we have the spirit and the water and the blood in the Exodus account. You know the account, but can you grab ahold of these elements and realize, if I grab ahold of these elements. I know what the Gospel is about because he was showing us through what we call types and shadows. This is all I'm going through. I'm going through patterns that are found in the scriptures to help us realize that God was giving us cues and little clues and little elements that he was going to what our brother, pastor Jeff Rogers, termed progressive, repetitious revelations. There were revelations that were given that he kind of snowballed in a much bigger way and it kept growing and growing. As he used it With Adam, we saw that with Noah it got bigger. With Moses it got bigger."

"So there's judgment that's coming, and the judgment that is coming is going to first come to the house of God. And when it continues in the house of God, he questions and he says well, what's going to be the end of those who do not what? Obey the gospel. See, that to me caught my attention because that was very important because I knew and I could repeat the gospel that we all just said was the death, the birth, the resurrection of Jesus Christ for your sins. I could repeat that and countless of others in the world can repeat that, and tell you that, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That Jesus died. He was buried and rose again on the third day. But the judgment that and the wrath that is to come, is not only going to come on the house of God first, but it's going to come on those that don't obey the gospel."

"Timothy, look at my life and compare it with theirs, and that's when he starts listening. Look at my doctrine. Look at all that I have ever taught you, Timothy. Look at my manner of life, how I have lived it. Look at how I've never taken advantage of people. Look at my purposes. Look at my faith. Look at all the stuff that I've suffered long, that I've been patient with and all of my love. "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly that in latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and what? Doctrines of devils. You see, that's his concern. I wouldn't say it's his fear, but I would say it's his main concern because there's too many other doctrines out there and all doctrines that are contrary to sound doctrine are nothing other than doctrines of devils. That's his main concern. Teach them to teach no other doctrine than that which you have received, sound doctrine. Maintain it, because there are doctrines of devils out there that are seducing the simple-minded and the ignorant. So we realize, just by reading that verse and considering, that there is a doctrine of devils, that's explicit, and there is a doctrine of Christ and the apostles."

"If you know anything about the scriptures in the New Testament there is only one doctrine. If you've looked at it before, it's the doctrine of Christ. That doctrine of Christ became the doctrine of the apostles because they didn't teach anything other than what Christ taught them. It's also called the doctrine of God and we'll get to that in a second. But the first thing that he addresses with Timothy is that they teach them to teach no other doctrine. I think that's incredibly important to consider and to think about, because if these are the last three letters of Paul, I look at it and say, well, what was so concerning to Paul? Because these were Paul's last days. If you know anything about this time of 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy and Titus, this was the time where he was in the Roman judicial system and it was getting to the point where he realized his days are numbered."
