And here are some thoughts I typed up afterward: Yasmin and Danya -Good acting to help the listener picture the scenario they deal with at home. -Fun dramatic crash which is unexpected and gets attention. -Nice way to tag the ending with the “more please”, instead of just ending with boring announcer talk. Assignment May 12 -ChockyBroccoli is a cool, memorable name. -Good introduction of the problem and then providing the solution. -Nice how the guy is excited “Sounds like a real treat!” Romero, Jeremy, Illia -Interesting to take a different angle instead of the usual families, and making this the hot new thing and targeting a new audience of high school kids. -Nice how the guy is like “You have to be joking” - You acknowledge the doubt people have, and then explain why this is a good product. -Smart to use the strawberries dipped in chocolate example, to help people picture it. Peter, Cean -Fun song! Catchy to listen to over and over. -Sounds like a Broadway musical that has a rap style. -Good incorporation of all the benefits in the lyrics. -Good tag line, mentioning the “nutrients and extraordinary flavour”. Jesse and Huzaifa -Good sound effect of the whistle to get attention right away. -Chocotelli is a fun name. -Good idea to pick the angle that it’s food for young athletes. -I couldn’t make out the very last part that was sped up, but that is a technique that sometimes radio production companies use, speeding up the audio just a bit to cram in more legal speak at the end. Jenny and Kevin -A unique angle to make it touching, to pull on the heartstrings of parents. -Nice use of music to set the tone. -Good theatre of the mind with us hearing the kid crunching it and then giggling. — They were all great! If I have to pick a “winner”, I like Peter and Cean’s song.
