The mercs finally(?) can take some well-deserved breather at Grumm, but there's no rest for Raider in his effort to 'help' the overworked miners down in the mines. The Army is still continuing to harass Balime, but the mercs now have some dependable allies in militia to cover for them. But there comes a point where they have to take the matter in their own hands!

The battle at Meduna Airport gets rolling as the mercs, buoyed by their numbers, slowly creep forward to target and eliminate the defenders. It requires a lot of maneuvering, overlapping covers, crawling into nooks and crannies, and generous use of explosives both thrown and propelled. But in the end that element of luck or lack thereof comes up big once again.

The truck is now heading toward Alma, but there seems to be enemy blockade in the way. Time to call in for some backup from Balime! A small detachment also heads to Estoni for more security and are able to procure a rather important looking item. Finally, our latest overture of peace arrives at Meduna, hope everything works out so we can start building toward love and peace in sunny Arulco!

X-Com is as ever eager in trying to scale up the alien opposition as psionics are now able to order Happy Meal at a drive-through with their minds, but not all missions are made equal depending on ship classes involved. Maybe it'll be easier to wait for a battleship to come knocking on the bases...
