Alan Greenspan (born March 6, 1926) is an American economist who served as the 13th chairman of the Federal Reserve from 1987 to 2006.
Alan Greenspan was interviewed by Jim Lehrer of PBS NewsHour (September 18th, 2007). Greenspan says that it does not matter who is in charge and that the central bank is an independent body that cannot be overrun by the authorities.
