CKX-TV was a television station broadcasting from Brandon, Manitoba, Canada from 1955 to 2009. It covered much of west and southwest Manitoba (colloquially known as "WestMan"). It was shut down primarily due to it's affiliation with the CBC expiring in August 2009, and was unable to secure another affiliate or operator of the station to keep it running due to high operational costs; thus resulting in it's closure on October 2, 2009 at 7PM after the 6PM newscast. After it faded to black after the end of the 6PM newscast, it continued to air a black screen until the transmitters were shut off early the following day. The broadcast footage originates from this YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@harpsj/videos (the only videos uploaded to that channel) but the entire broadcast was uploaded in 8-9 minute clips, so I edited the clips together as best as I could for better viewing purposes. No other modifications (besides some minor cutting, splitting, and joining) were made to the video clips.
