The Redcat Marksman 2.2 1/8 Scale Trail Truck was a wonderful machine to unbox and test last time. But, it had a few issues. We hit the 6 Problem test rocks when we got back to see how it stacked up to other crawlers. And yep, some shortcomings were evident. So, first thing to address was the woeful steering. Redcat included a weak servo with the big Marksman that really should not have been used. Too slow and weak for such a big machine! We've fitted a strong and fast brushless servo and a beefcake BEC to drive it. How much better does that make its handling? One way to find out! We loved the Rlaarlo XDKJ-006 brushless 1/14 Buggy (now called RLR-14006P). It had speed, poise and boy oh boy was it tough! Now we've been sent Rlaarlo's all-new AM-X12 - Now called AM-X12T(C). New name, apparently new size... but is it really all new underneath or have things been... stretched? Only one way to find out! Let's test! Note: since publishing this video, I've stripped and rebuilt the buggy. The main problem was the pinion gear was jammed tight against the motor mount, resulting in lower speed and high motor heat.
