Selecting the single-player mode quickly throws you in the Jungle with a pre-made character named Sonic, where you have a small amount of time to explore and maybe fight the boss a bit.
Although I didn't show it in this video, the multiplayer mode features the VR Temple area.

Alright, so now for that one that actually bugged me and got me back on doing this.
Levels 1, 2, and 4 edited to have the equivalent "Contra Spirits" arrange version tracks. I also tried applied a lot of cheat codes, because I stink at Contra. The game punished me for this by forcing me to go through a buggy Level 2. Ouchhhh.
I kinda screwed up the looping on Level 1 - working on fixing it ASAP.

Team-Europe has managed to dig out an interesting Sega Pico promotional video - one for two unreleased German games!
The video shows scenes from both the storybook pages and the in-game graphics. I also assume the music is arranged from what would be in-game music, although I'm not exactly sure on that...
It's almost surprising to realize that the Sega Pico of all things has unreleased games.

Oh yeah, I wanted to check 3DO demos, too. Hrm...
This is a short 5-level Puzzle Bobble demo for 3DO. If the final game feels like this, I suppose the port is "kinda off" from the NeoGeo version which I am more familiar with. Oof~
Oddly, the demo has a quirk where it goes into gameplay instead of having a proper attract demo.
The 4DO emulator was used to run this.

A PAL-region House of the Dead 2 demo. In the TOSEC set it is simultaneously labeled "Taikenban", suggesting the same demo was released in Japan.
The demo shows the first two stages of the game. I made sure to turn on "red blood"!
Although I couldn't spot any obvious changes in-gameplay, the new HOTD1 Flashback in the attract demo has a very early and VERY BAD English script full of grammar and capitalization errors. Check around 17:20 to see that.
This is being emulated in Demul, so there's some graphical issues. The game also feels slower, but that might be the whole PAL 50hz thing going on.
