Black Mesa is a complete remake of Half-Life, using the source engine which started development in 2004, initally as a mod. Later on it got Valve's blessing and transitioned to a commercial standalone product. The game would endure development hell for over a decade, getting an initial release in 2015, but missing the Xen section of the game. The completely reimagined Xen section would take another 5 years of development, with the whole thing releasing in 2020.

Black Mesa es un completo remake de Half-Life, usando el motor source, que comenzó su desarrollo en 2004, inicialmente como un mod. Más tarde obtuvo el beneplácito de Valve para convertirse en un producto comercial. El juego atravesó un infierno de desarrollo de más de una década, llegando a un lanzamiento inicial en 2015, pero sin la parte de Xen. La sección completamente reimaginada de Xen llevaría otros 5 años de desarrollo, con el juego completo saliendo en 2020.

Singularity is yet another little gem from Raven Software which has been through development hell, with rough cuts from the content, delays, and even was at the verge of cancellation. It had a discrete success (that is, a failure in Activi$ion's eyes), but it's still one of those "good but not excellent" Raven Software games.
You are a soldier sent to investigate an abandoned military/scientific facility in a Soviet island and eventually get involved in time travel and adquire a device that can age stuff and turn people to ashes.

Singularity es otro diamante en bruto de Raven Software que pasó un desarrollo infernal, con grandes recortes del contenido, retrasos, e incluso estuvo a punto de ser cancelado. Un un éxito discreto (eso es un fracaso a ojos de Activi$ion), pero a pesar de todos es uno de esos juegos "buenos pero no excelentes" de los que solamente sabe traer Raven Software.
Eres un soldado enviado a unas instalaciones militar/científicas en una remota isla soviética que se ve involucrado en viajes en el tiempo y adquiere un aparato con el que puede envejecer cosas y reducir la gente a cenizas.

Depth Dwellers is a "Doom Clone" (more like a Wolf3D clone) from 1994. The shareware version was featured on most magazine CDs of the era, so it was "common"
Greetings to the people that mentioned that I should play it, I was aware of this game, it's just I didn't want... And boy was I right... Where do I start? Ok, the good stuff: the game ran fine, no crashes, competent engine, and ALLOWS YOU TO CIRCLE STRAFE (you couldn't count on this back in the day). Now for the bad:
- If I seem to be lost during gameplay, it's because I am. The game uses one single texture for 90% of the current level
- Which are maze like, and not the good way. Many copy pasted rooms, even between different levels
- It's like they got the engine right and didn't care for the rest of the game, they just shoved everything in and called it a day
- No art direction at all. You got random digitized stuff combined with MSPaint drawn characters
- Many of the digitized stuff doesn't have the color pallette right
- Weapons look like they are stuff you can find at home. Just wait for the massage machine
- 4 different enemies total, of which only 2 can appear in a single level. One of them is a stealth variant of the very first
- The grenade launcher is useless, as the mine deployer thing
- The keys are small and can be overlooked. They knew this because most level seems to have a second key inside secrets
- Some keys seem to be only found inside secrets
- You can duck, but it's slow and useless. You can jump, and don't trust other reviewers who say it's also useless, they didn't play enough, there are hazards to be jumped over
- The music... THE MUSIC. One single theme the whole game, and it's the most anodyne tune ever, no mood, no soul, no anything I've ever heard
- The sounds... Those are the devs recording then with their mouth and modifying the pitch for different effects

This playthrough is and update over my previousone and is meant to be the ultimate one. Improvements:
- 4K, for better bitrate and overall video quality
- Shows all secret levels
- Played with every player class
- Highest difficulty level
Hexen is 1995's Raven Software spinoff for Heretic, set in the same world, where you go on the hunt for another of the Serpent Riders. This time around the game world is set in level hubs, where you do different tasks in each one of the levels to unlock new sections in the other levels and eventually solve one big hub puzzle. You now can also choose between 3 different player characters with different weapons, run speed, and use of certain inventory items.
It's Hexen! You either love it or hate it. For me, I do love how the game looks, the weapons, the enemies, the weapon sound effects, the desings, the atmosphere... Literally everything but the game itself. The overdone puzzles can do for a very frustrating first playthrough with lots of wtf moments wondering what does mean that the switch you just activated did just do. The enemies are just time fillers between the switches and there's no point in killing them (if they dropped gold or xp at least...). There are death pits and insta death traps. The player classes are cool, but in the end you are stuck with just 4 weapons during your playthrough. It's a good game... if you happen to like enough aspects of it and tolerate its shortcomings.

Este playthrough es una mejora sobre el anterior que había subido y debería ser el definitivo. Mejoras:
- En 4K para mejor bitrate y calidad de vídeo
- Enseña todos los niveles secretos
- Máximo nivel de dificultad
- Jugado con las 3 clases
Hexen es el spinoff de Heretic que Raven Software lanzó en 1995. Situado en el mismo mundo, ahora vas a la caza de otro de los Serpent Riders. El juego está dividido en bloques de niveles, en los que haces distintas tareas que desbloquean nuevas áreas en los demás niveles, con el objetivo de completar un gran puzzle en el nexo principal. También permite elegir entre varias clases de personaje, con distantas armas, velocidad y uso de ciertos objetos del inventario.
¿Qué voy a decir que no se haya dicho ya? ¡Es Hexen! Lo odias, o lo amas. En mi caso me encanta cómo luce, las armas, los diseños, los enemigos, la atmósfera, los efectos de sonido... Básicamente todo menos el juego en sí. Los puzzles enrevesados dan para un primer playthrough bastante frustrante con muchos momentos donde te preguntas qué carajo ha hecho el botón que acabas de activar. Los enemigos solamente son relleno para desperdiciar tu tiempo entre botón y botón (si al menos diesen oro o experiencia...). Hay pozos sin fondo y trampas que te matan instantáneamente. Lo de las clases está bien, pero luego te encuentras con tan sólo 4 armas distintas durante el playthrough. Es un buen juego, si te gustan suficientes cosas de él y estás dispuesto a tolerar sus defectos.

Exomoon is the second megawad on the Moonblood series, and the prequel to Ozonia. Features a couple new enemies, textures, funky music and 20 new levels, with mid to high difficulty level, expect them a bit harder than Plutonia. Hands of Necromancy is a GZDoom powered Hexenlike game with a bit of metroidvania sprinkled on top. On top of your weapons and lots of inventory powerups, you'll be able to morph into several different creatures with equally different abilities that will grant you access to new areas and secrets. Skill leve is the second one, the third is fast monsters, so the bullet hell endures :P

Además de tus armas y muchos powerups que podemos llevar en el inventario, nos podremos transformar en distintas criaturas con distintas habilidades, que nos permitirán acceder a nuevas áreas y secretos. El nivel de dificultad es el segundo, el tercero ya implica monstruos rápidos y se viene el bullet hell :P

What you happens you pick up a meme game such as "When it's done" Duke Nukem Forever, and gets picked up from the trash can and rushed to release by another meme such as Randy Pitchford? Well, the game underdelivers. This game came out too late, and came without the layer of polish it needed for the times being. Had it come out like in... 2003 and we'd probably be talking about it as a classic. In 2011? It was so mediocre at everything and looked so dated that no doubt it got bashed. However, this isn't by any means the worst FPS ever, not even by a long stretch, the DLC is even decent.

¿Qué es lo que ocurre cuando coges un juego meme tal como "Cuando esté terminado" Duke Nukem Forever, y lo rescata del cubo de la basura otro meme tal como Randy Pitchford para apurarlo y lanzarlo? Bueno, pues que el juego no cumple expectativas. Este juego salio demasiado tarde, y vino sin la pulida que le hacía falta para los tiempos que corrían. Si hubiese salido en... 2003 probablemente estaríamos hablando de un clásico. ¿En 2011? Pues era tan mediocre y lucía tan anticuado que con razón fue vapuleado. De todas formas, este no es de ninguna manera el peor FPS de la historia, pero ni de largo. El DLC es hasta decente.
