A lot of people are starting to open their eyes to fasting, but dry fasting is still viewed as something scary and shrouded in mystery. It doesn’t matter that dry fasting has been around for a very long time, and in fact is done yearly during Ramadan, a month of dry fasting. Despite its ancient roots - spanning thousands of years, the scientific community still knows very little about this ancient art. So, let’s explore questions about dry fasting, what is it, and why you might want to try it? We’ll also look into things like Why do animals instinctively dry fast when they get really sick? Why is dry fasting mentioned multiple times in the Bible? And, What is Autophagy and how does Dry fasting supercharge it? Strap yourselves in.

Dry fasting means no food and no water. Yes, you heard that right. Where water fasting allows you to hydrate, a dry fast does not. People often think that you’ll die without drinking water for 3 days. It’s kind of like how people used to think the earth was the center of the solar system. In fact, there’s legitimate studies tracking people that have dry fasted for over 5 days, and many reports of people dry fasting for much, much longer. Dry fasting is 3x stronger and 3x faster than any other form of fasting when it comes to detoxification, health benefits, and even weightloss. But, by this same logic, it’s also 3x more dangerous. With great power comes great responsibility, so don’t be a dummy, learn to dry fast properly.

Did you know that humans used to dry fast much more regularly in the past? Nearly all religious texts refer to some form of fasting, dry fasting included. In fact the Bible references dry fasting multiple times. In the Christian religion there is something called a Black Fast, and it used to be quite popular. Jewish religion still practices Yom Kippur which is a 25-hour dry fast, and muslims all over the world still practice dry fasting once a year for a whole month during Ramadan. Dry fasting is not new to us, yet we treat it as something taboo. Maybe it’s time to unlock this ancient art of fasting once more and harness its healing powers.
