Pro Superbike Racer Marcel Irnie ventured North to enter the August 10 -12th, 2018 Canadian Superbike Championship - CTMP Finale Double Header. Irnie has not been to CTMP (Mosport) since racing in 2014.
With no Thursday practice, Irnie jumped right in to learning the track's new bumps in FP1, and continued with suspension testing in Qualifying 1. Irnie qualified 13th with a 1:24.096 (half a second off 2014's Q2 time of 1:23.587). Irnie continued to develop bike setup and preferred racing line in Saturday's Race 1, to be much improved for Sunday Race 2. Enjoy the Race 2 TEASER "Passing Opportunity - Learning Your Competitors" with a new personal best lap time of 1:22.958 in lap 2!
