After the cold snap on Mother's Day, we finally got to fully plant out our permaculture garden, grow area one and our backyard garden grow area two. We have at least 200 plants in the ground from starts, not to mention direct sow seeds! Our Delaware chickens even popped by for a quick visit?!

Our family’s homestead focus is on growing and providing our customers with the highest quality of food. As first generation homesteaders and market gardeners, we pride ourselves on utilizing environmentally safe practices while giving back to the soil and in turn enriching it with more nutrients as we grow our food.

Our permaculture garden has a layered mulch of cardboard and mulch from the back to eden method. This method has supplied so many worms to our garden. The soil micro biology is absolutely wonderful and our plants will reap the reward!

I had the pleasure of following Ken Outten around the farm where he taught us about strawberries, which he has grown for over 20 years!
As May begins to come around each year, there is a longing for fresh strawberry picking and we wanted to shoot this video so that we could share this amazing place with all of you!
