I was genuinely sweating filming this & whilst I realise that’s impart due to warmer climate I also know it had a lot to do with the exercises and the intensity of the workout!!

Light weights, lots of fabulous repetitions, a variety of exercises and ten minutes of your time is the perfect combination. Expect to enjoy this short, sweet, effective, upper body workout.
You choose the hand weights you want to use …. I recommend 1-3kg. I used 2kg throughout the workout and for me, they offered the perfect level of challenge whilst maintaining control.

We begin slowly thinking about our posture, working on ankle mobility, warming up our calves.
We move on to rotation in the hips with a focus on our balance. Far more challenging that it visually appears.
Throughout the workout we will be activating our glutes, quadriceps and core. 25 minutes of work, fun and challenge to connect mind and body.
I began filming the challenge with this workout and wow it felt challenging at times, obviously in a fabulous way ?.
Day one is spicy and I can't wait to share the rest of the challenge with you.

Many of us have a stability ball at home, but we are unsure what to do with it. I love using the stability ball to add variety to my workouts and challenge myself. Here are my top ten current favourites.
0:00 - Introduction
1:14 - Plank - knee tuck
1:40 - Forearm - seesaw
2:14 - Plank - roll in & out
2:54 - Plank hold - 30 to 60 seconds
3:22 - Plank - toe taps (alternate sides)
3:58 - Plank knee tap
4:31 - Bridge
5:07 - Hamstring curl
5:39 - Hip Opener
6:07 - V Legs - curl up and catch
6:40 - Dead Bug
7.07 - Wrapping up
Aim to do between 8-12 Reps of each exercise. Apply the Pilates principles engaging your core to stabilise, breath, check your alignment (neutral spine) and always listen to your body. Rest when you need to.

This is a great opportunity to try something a little different.
You do not need a Pilates Bar to do this awesome, challenging fun workout ?, you could take a pole off your mop or brush. You might just have something lying around the house which will be just perfect for this workout x
I loved using the Pole to support my balance and allow me to challenge my movements. The pole will give you feedback as you rotate and stop you cheating any of the moves.
It also adds fun and variety, what’s not to love.
For those of you with a Pilates Bar you already have your apparatus ready… let’s get started

When planning this workout my aim was to enhance mobility and increase strength both of which can be achieved with consistency and focusing on the correct posture and movement.
We all have imbalances in our body, often having one arm/shoulder that feels stronger. This workout will highlight any imbalances and improve your awareness as to how your body moves.
As always listen to your body & my verbal cues, whilst observing my movements and how your body feels.

I recommend for your first run through of this workout that you don’t use weights but once you’ve tried all the exercises and become familiar with the workout you might want to add in small hand weights or as you get stronger, increase the number of repetitions for some or all of the exercises.
