Demon's World, Gameplay, ホラーストーリー - Halloween Special
Demon's World (demonwld) - ホラーストーリー
Today starts what I am calling the Halloween Special serie, so for this entire week I will only upload gameplays of games that somewhat boost the Halloween spirit. Demon's World is a horror themed Run and Gun game released for arcades in 1989. The game basically has two heroes fighting monsters that were released on Earth by the Demon King. The game, like several other games from the 80's, is a hard game, the gameplay feels very 80's too, but it is actually a pretty fun game to play. If you like Run and Gun games, I think you will have a lot of fun playing this one.
The gameplay happened on Fightcade between:
Player 1: Nalim Player 2: Me
This is the first one of the Halloween Special, this one is not a hack, it is an original game. I will keep uploading more horror themed games until the end of this serie, there are no restrictions about them, they can be a hack or an original game like this one. If you like this idea of a Halloween Special, stay tuned for the rest of the games of this serie.
Metal Slug X Legendary Edition Hack is a hack of Metal Slug X, with features similar to the Metal Slug 5 played previously, a lifebar allowing you to take multiple hits before dying, every character having a special attack by pressing start, the extra weapon slot that is also one of my favorite features in a Metal Slug hack, and this one also allows you to select the stage before starting the game. Another great feature is that it also allows you to change the color pallete of your character, there are a lot of palletes in the game of course, so it might take some time for you to find your favorite. And as always the gameplay happened online on Fightcade.
A nice solution for that color feature is if the developer test all palletes that doesn't look bugged, and put them on a list of palletes and allow the players to select only the matching palletes from the list.
Fightcade gameplay settings:
Player 1 Nalim (Fio)
Player 2 Me (Eri)
Difficulty: Level 4
As you guys can see, this hack is quite hard, so we got demolished by the CPU.
The Punisher Warriors Fast Fighting (punisher) - パニッシャー
The Punisher Warriors Fast Fighting is a hack of the arcade beat'em up The Punisher. This hack mostly modifies the enemies that are going to spawn, which means not all but most of the enemies that spawns in this hack is different than the ones that spawn in the original game. When playing this hack I didn't notice an increase of enemies, so this hack probably replaces one enemy with another one, so don't expect a drastic change, but the changes made are enough to make the game harder.
Considering this hack doesn't drastically increase the amount of enemies that spawns, it is not a very hard hack, it is actually a hack you can 1CC if you learn how to play it, I would say this hack is a nice one for those who never played a hack of The Punisher and feel like playing a different version of this game, the kind of hack I would call an introduction to the hack world, after you play a hack like that, if you like it, you start to look for other hacks until you end up playing crazy hacks with a massive amount of enemies.
Gameplay Settings
Player: Me (Punisher, some coins)
Difficulty: Normal
I used to be a very good The Punisher player, but I didn't play it for a long time, I am very rusty here, if I start playing it more often, I think I can 1CC this hack, if you like this game and is a good player, you will probably get a 1CC without much problems.
Another set of matches of Samurai Shodown II Perfect, a hack under development by Bear.
For those who didn't watch the other videos about this hack, the game is heavily changed to bring a more dynamic gameplay, a better way to perform combos, several modifications to improve the balance of the game, and also bug fixes.
The matches were played between:
Big Bear Blue (P1)
BIG-PE (P2)
For those who like Samurai Shodown, this hack is a good one to have a look.

The King of Fighters 2002 (kof2002, neogeo arcade) - ザ・キング・オブ・ファイターズ 2002 チャレンジ トゥ アルティメットバトル
Here I just show an unused move Ryo has, his The King of Fighters 2000 / 2001 QCB + A / C. Apparently the move is inside KOF 2002 but it is unused, for now replacing move is kind of easy to do, here QCF + C was removed just to have a look at the unused move, but more knowledge of the game is needed to add this move instead of replacing an already existing move.
As you can see, the move is a little bit bugged, it has weird sparks in the middle of Ryo's feet, so in case it is not hard to add it, it also needs to be modified in order to ensure it will behave properly.
There are more unused moves that look interesting, so I might bring more videos like that showing you some of the other hidden moves inside KOF 2002.
This is a test of a hack of the arcade game Fighter's History Dynamite or Karnov's Revenge.
In this video, I tested the new version of Ryoko, both of her jump Kick is better for cross now, her charge B-F + Kick can now go under fireballs easily and also moves further, her Kataguruma is now FDP or RDP + Punch, and her Tateshihou Gatame is now her super and its execution is 2X HCF or 2x HCB. She might actually get more new stuff in the future.
Stay tuned for gameplays of the other characters.
Super Mario Bros. (smb, NES) - スーパーマリオブラザーズ
As a rom hack and randomizer enjoyer, I had to bring this Super Mario Bros. randomizer, it is just incredible, this randomizer is capable of randomizing the layout of the stages, the sprites of the heroes, the sprites of the enemies, to also bring new enemies like the fire bros., to bring new musics, and many more.
Level-Headed also supports several types of Super Mario Bros. ROMs and it also has several difficulties available, you can randomize easier or insanely hard games with it. This gameplay happened offline and the settings were:
Player 1: Me (Toad)
Lives: Infinite
Random Difficulty: Normal
Seed: 58795139
For those who love Super Mario Bros., this randomizer is such a great thing to try, it changes so much that is a completely new game with the base mechanics of Super Mario Bros.

This is a test of a hack of the arcade game Fighter's History Dynamite or Karnov's Revenge.
In this video, I tested the new version of Karnov, he got a new move Super 100 Attack, which is his super and the execution is QCB-HCF + Punch.
His infinite got fixed, now he can't infinite anymore and his teleport bug also got fixed, which in some way nerfs his gameplay.
To compensate for the telerport bug fix, I had the idea of instead of having a bug that teleports him, this bug could be transformed into a feature, so he also got another new move, it is called Glitch because its idea came from a bug and its execution is FDP + K and RDP + K.
Stay tuned for gameplays of the other characters.
This is just some minor changes made to Chris, if you play KOF 2002, you know that one of the major problems with Chris is that he doesn't do much damage, so he got some extra DM cancels to allow him to do bigger max mode combos and improve his overall damage.
Some of the changes made are:
QCF + A: It now only knockdows down if the enemy is in the air, and in case of knockdown, the opponent can take more hits for a short period of his falling animation, similart to robert F + B.
QCF + C: Startup reduced in 4 frames so you can combo out of it, it still causes knockdown no matter what, but now the opponent can take more hits for a short period of time when he is falling.
HCB + A/B/C/D: The 1st hit of it is now similar to QCF + A, if hit on air you have a small window to still keep connecting more hits.
HCB + C: 2nd hit can now be DM canceled.
2x QCB B/D/BD: The DM and SDM version hit behavior was changed in a way that if you hit the opponent in the air, it mostly like will connect the other hits instead of throwing the opponent high to the air and missing everything, doing no damage and being exposed to combos.
Those are the changes for now, maybe other changes could be made or maybe this is enough.
A test of the 1.0 version of FFAEE, it brings 3 new patches, the 1st that fixes the amount of points Guy and Cody gets after throwing an enemy, the 2nd disables barrels converting any item drop into treasures and the last removes the friendly fire, as you can see at the ending, Guy can't hit Cody.
Check FFAEE on Github.
