Seventy years ago, most people didn’t go to university. Institutions of higher learning were reserved for those with the greatest potential to contribute to society by expanding their knowledge, those with the highest IQ. This of course is no longer the case. In current year, everyone with a pulse is expected to attend some form of college or university. We were told that this would lead to people being smarter. However this has not been the actual result. Instead this has led to the rise of the midwit. Midwits are easily recognized by their lack of self awareness and inability to think rationally. These are the people who regurgitate some standard narrative line and believe it passes as knowledge. The midwit is the segment of the population most easily manipulated who at the same time, believes they are somehow in the upper echelons of understanding. Some believe that the founders of the U.S. limited voting to those who owned land and a certain amount of wealth in order to keep Blacks from being able to have a say in how the country is run. I do not believe this. Instead I believe the intention of the founders was to guard the republic against the real threat to a functioning society: the midwit. In the Christian specific segment we’ll be discussing faith, God’s will and how we put these two things together to understand the things that happen in the world around us and in our lives personally. “God’s will” is much like prophecy in that it is difficult to understand if something is truly a part of the Lord’s plan until further down the road when we can look back on it. The reality is that many things happen around us and in our lives that have to simply be categorized as “that’s life”.
