We broke down the Bitmap standard a couple of days ago and introduced how it has the potential to become a foundation to the metaverse existence on top of Bitcoin. Within a couple of days, the inscription counts for .bitmap ID’s has risen by more than 40X!!! We were not expecting this much traction to generate so quickly but upon re-evaluation it makes sense. The narrative of standardizing an ownership mechanic to blocks produced on Bitcoin and leveraging that model as a metaverse infrastructure layer is so powerful. Quickly the Ordinal community is understanding that and claiming their desired blocks in hopes to one day be able to convert them into virtual environments they can be proud to own.
