Lately you'll see and hear the word "skills" applied to emotional development and "regulation," but are you sure you know what that means? What emotional skills do you imagine are being taught vs are actually being taught? Is it even appropriate for school teachers (or counselors) to presume to teach "emotional regulation" as a "skill?" What happened to discernment and wisdom, judgment and personal boundaries?
What if they're not allowed anymore? Hmmmm....
