There was a time, not too long ago, when Hollywood was enamored with Bob Iger, the man who brought Marvek and Star Wars to Disney – but that period is now over. His comments against the strike were not well received, and now, a major exposé from CNBC has revealed how badly he botched the transition of power to Bob Chapek.
There is a enough to cover here that we have to do it over the course of several videos, but in this first one, we will break down how Iger never intended for Chapek to really run the company, why the board didn’t stop Iger when the alarm bells should have been ringing, and finally, the rumor we heard why Iger deemed it necessary to step back in the first place!

The viewership for Loki on Disney+ is down and The Marvels looks set to underperform, indicating that Disney and Bob Iger better prepare for the next move from Nelson Peltz! That fits right in with the newfound acceptance that Marvel is indeed in crisis, something Hollywood could only admit after Variety spelled it out for them.
But what not even Variety could bring themselves to admit though, is the answer to exactly why. That is however tacitly, revealed in the book “MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios” by Joanna Robinson and others.

July 20th saw the release of the Star Trek Picard trailer at Comic Con. As it turned out, the reception was an overall positive one – however, Robert Meyer Burnett was quick to point out that despite all the writers and producers involved in the making of the series, it would appear that without the appropriate credits being given, the core concept has been swiped from a previously involved creator who never worked on this iteration of the Picard series: Bryan Fuller, the original progenitor of Star Trek Discovery.
