Thanks to my friend Pauline for texting me that she was at Lowertown Brewery. I was at a speed dating event earlier, then was walking home but walked into Heart and Crown Irish Pub - Ottawa and was just scrolling on my phone, researching what to do for a birthday. She texted "Lowertown" and I googled what that was and walked over. And I played 2 original songs at the open mic. Which I did the night before at the open mic she took me to. My upcoming Saturday birthday makes me realize I shouldn't miss any chance to perform, because I love it. I hope this inspires you to live your dreams. My playing is rusty and Pauline says I need to be more confident with my singing. And I messed up a chord. But whatever. I will keep getting out there. And if anyone wants to work on songs with me, let me know! The MC at this open mic told me my original songs are amazing. So I'm glad I'm getting them out there for people to hear!
