I wonder just how much Mihoyo wants to beat it over our heads that Neuvillette is the reborn Dragon of Water and former member of the Seven Sovereigns. Throw Hu Tao at the banner, give him a Hu Tao of his own with Furina, give him a VA with a super deep voice and regal attitude, Zhongli himself rerunning just a patch ago to refresh our memory about him and a trailer with an "I will have order" vibe to it. Well I suppose it also doubles as beating us over the head that Zhongli not only is the oldest of the Seven as an Archon but he was also one of the Seven Sovereigns himself the last to survive in his role too.
Anyway there aren't any new characters besides him to talk about so this will be quick. Fischl is still Fischl a very good Electro Support Character who thanks to Hyperbloom is even more useful now. Xingqiu is also still Xingqiu 1 of the 2 best Hydro Supports in the game the other being Yelan. Also thanks to Hyperbloom his abundant application of Hydro is very appreciated. Then there's Hu Tao one of the best DPS of the game. She can easily make use of Xingqiu for gratutitous amounts of Vape damage. She may have less need of Fischl though since Overload is hard to control but then again Electro-charged is also useful so maybe Neuvillette will benefit from her. And finally we have Diona still considered by many players to be a great Shielder/Healer but I haven't really noticed. She's part of the original Morgana team but that's since been beaten out by Rosaria or Layla. Of the banner she might be the weakest entry.
Ok so Neuvillette. I see him like a Bronya of Genshin. 3 years into the game they finally got the last member of the Honkai trio to Genshin. The major feature is his Charged Attack which is a steady and high damaging beam. The skill and Burst create energy balls that I think are meant to make the Charged Attack stronger and also heal Neuvillette. He also made very short work of the enemies so I can't really be sure how good a typical Neuvillette would be. What he seems to have over Bronya though is that he can continuously aim while shooting. And he can also move so he's better than the Traveler.
Actually I'm noticing that the Traveler's Hydro powers mimic his. I'm not sure if Furina will have something similar but normally the Traveler reflects the Archon. Now I wonder if they're copying the dragon this time because dragons trump Archons or if it's because this particular dragon is tied to the conditions of Fontaine. We might have figured this out sooner if Zhongli had passed on his role of Geo Archon to a successor.
Anyway I would have gone for him but Furina is going to be up next and without any 4*s to worry about Neuvillette just isn't the goal. But given Mihoyo's Sumeru schedule I'm guessing I might be able to go for him during his rerun. We'll see.

And she's a guy in this one? Elinia pulled a Jenner between games? Now that's a backstory I want to know more about! Then again maybe Lucio's just a dummy. She was clearly wearing a witch outfit and violet doesn't scream guy to me. The warlock class in Inotia 4 was a guy with all black attire.
Anyway I accepted that Huntsmen mission but I'm not really sure when I'll be getting to a Giant Forest. Maybe after the orc mission?
It looks like I'll be going back and forth from Carnia a few times. I mean there's that Portal Master and I'm guessing he's like a way to repeat old missions and fight old bosses so I'll probably be going back to Carnia a few times or else there's no point to him being there.
For you guys that have played this game before feel free to tell me if that's true or not. I don't want to head out too far and miss out on stuff.

And failing each time. But at least we got to meet Scheherazade's sister!
Mihoyo's really trying to create sympathetic NPCs for us to latch onto huh? We're getting more and more of these guys as time goes on. There was basically nobody in Mondstadt and Liyue's Archon Quests. Then we get Teppei in Inazuma alongside maybe those allogenes Ayaka has us meet but let's face it most of us only likely cared about Teppei. Now in Sumeru we already have Haypasia but now we've also got Dunyarzad and this girl's got an even better claim to our heartstrings because she's in the same boat as our playable character star of the manhua Collei.
I have to say the ability to make generic NPCs this important to us deserves respect. Mihoyo really know how to tell an impactful story.

As the title suggests we’re wrapping up this long road of battles. Last time I got through the maze that comprises the majority of Route 13 and just encountered a Bird Keeper as I was making my way out. So this episode I’ll get to the rest of Route 13, go straight up to 12 and finally end it off on Route 7. Why am I skipping Route 11 in between? If ever I doubted why I was a Mona Main this event cured that.
We went through Kazuha having accepted his past but for one regret of legacy. We went through the most well adjusted person in Teyvat who has problems other people might pity her for but she ends up making you feel better about it. And then we went to the polar opposite where she ran from her problems, couldn't deal with the people that criticized her and tried believing the fantasy even though she knew it was.
Now we get Mona. She's been watching them the whole time but not just by traveling into these mirages with them. She already saw their paths in life through her divination. She knows everybody's paths through her divination. She even knew our own Traveler was not a local. The poor girl. She's seen some stuff....
Anyway even her own quest she was analyzing for clues. It barely touched on her past just her growing understanding of astrology and the pain she's endured just seeing people's fates. It even ends with more of her figuring out what was really going on -ahem- Fatui plot. Hopefully we get to see her again sooner. Before this it was v1.1. I really hope to get actual development for her and maybe some hope with the next Unreconciled Stars seeing as how fate might not be so stuck if the sky itself is false.
Anyway I'm taking the rest of the week to rest. This event was the longest we've ever had and I'm beat lol. If something cool comes up I'll be sure to add it but for now I think I'm good. See you guys for the next one!

Mt Mortar in two consecutive playthroughs was great for legendaries. Entei still made an appearance and this time so did Arceus! Weird that it put the pokeball thing there. Something probably glitched. Anyway we're up to icy Pryce now and we still have to take out the Red Gyarados and the Rockets so let's get a move on!

right at the bottom of the Abyss.
So this right here is the big one. So many revelations in our theory community came out of this episode right here. Descenders, erasure, Irminsul memory shenanigans, Segments, Dendro manipulation, Celestia is asleep and the biggest one I think for most people which was that our sibling might not be our sibling because somehow we're Descenders but they aren't. What's up with that?
Well I've already theorized plenty on that over on reddit but you guys don't like that site so I'm going to go through it all again in this and of course that big nitpick of mine the Scara Quest later on.
