Restaurant review of Le Suq in Ottawa
July 10, 2021: To celebrate my 2nd vaccine shot, my parents wanted to go for ice cream. After my first shot, we went to @slgelato. After eating, my mom and I walked down the street and saw another gelato place that wasn’t open. So today my mom suggested we try that place. I noticed on the gelato display case glass it said “New! Baklava ice cream sandwich!” I figured I should try that to be different. I got it with the Middle Eastern Ashta ice cream. The owner Mark explained that they boil that ice cream until it taste like butter or something. When I tried it in my sandwich, it was kind of chewy like a marshmallow. He poured maple syrup all over it too, so it was like a Middle Eastern and Canadian hybrid. You have to come try it! They also have plenty of other meals and treats, which you will see in this interview I filmed with him when I came back in to get my phone, which was charging while we ate outside. (It was nice of him to see if I could leave my stuff in here while we were eating.) I think I’ll bring my laptop here and work all summer with the free Wi-Fi!
