AI and UE5 in 3 steps: How I used AI to create this Architecture scene in Unreal Engine
Have you used AI to create scenes in Unreal Engine ? I show you the simple process I used for this scene. I used super simple 2 word prompt to create a reference in Midjourney. Then made a bare bones model in 3dsmax I exported using a mixture of datasmith (first batch) then FBX for the fixtures and details. Step 3 was to import very detailed assets from 3dsky. the landscape was dressed using brushify.io then I added a sun and sky and used sequencer to animate the time of day. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVfl7yXh1LU

You may have heard that Pascal and I are launching our Real to Unreal Lighting live masterclass tomorrow (Wednesday 27/01/2021 @ 4 pm GMT). We thought we would talk about it a bit more today: what it is, what it entails, what you will learn and what you can expect.
See you tomorrow!

Rules of perspective make it so that when you look up, lines converge and distort in a way which jars with human perception.
However, when you look up in your scene in Unreal Engine, the building should look straight.
We need to correct that. There is a free and easy way to do this - without the need for extra plugins.
This is how to do it:
- Keep the camera horizontal
- Shoot your scene in portrait mode until you have enough sky
- Crop the bottom
Pros of the method:
This method is great as it does not require extra plugins, which means that it is quick, easy and free to fix.
Cons of the method:
The cropping needs to be done in the post, which can be a little of a pain if you do a lot of compositing and have to incorporate a lot of changes.

This is a tutorial where I show you how I used the grass tool in Unreal Engine4 to make realistic grass, plants, flowers and rocks on the landscape. You literally paint them on the landscape. I love it! :)
Let me know if you want to download this file. It's currently 6Gb so I will need to optimise it!
I show you how I created this simple landscape scene using the free assets that come with unreal engine. There is nothing else to import so you can just follow along easily.
I forgot to say in the video that the grass tool is super effective way to manage memory and performance for large number of objects like.... grass!

Hey, finally ! A new tutorial video, I hope it's useful for you.
Basically, I'm showing you how I used the light function inside of unreal to create these caustic lighting effects. It's really easy, but the trick is in the material function and playing around with the panner function and the scale.
It could be greatly enhanced by playing a caustic animation instead of using a still but I haven't looked into that yet. I'm curious if any of you guys have ? Cheers, Fabrice.
