When 59 year old Randy Baker was found dead inside his home in Greeley, Colorado, it initially seemed like his life-long heart problems had finally caught up with him. However, a closer look would soon reveal the unimaginably awful truth.

In September of 1966 the Percy family was living an idyllic life in their palatial Illinois mansion — that was until they were the victims of a brutal and puzzling crime.

Okay so right off the bat, let’s just acknowledge the elephant in the room — we told you last week that we were going to take a break from doing dumb and weird crime stories since we’d already done two Thursday videos in a row like that. Well that was totally our intention, and we did start on a couple of new things this week, however, with being distracted by our ongoing issues with YouTube and some other unforeseen problems we realized a little too late that we’d bit off more than we could chew for the stories we had initially planned to cover. That being said, because we still wanted to make sure we stuck to our usual schedule as promised, and because we still were sitting on a ton of these crazy stories from the research for the last couple videos, we decided we’d do one more video like this rather than not releasing anything at all.
So without further ado, here are 8 MORE ways, criminals busted themselves.

If you’re a regular viewer of our Crimes of the Week International series, you might remember that back in October we put together a compilation list of some of the dumbest criminals and crime stories we’d covered so far this year. At the time we asked you if you wanted us to make another round of these videos covering the second half of the year and the response was overwhelmingly positive. So here we are, as promised with Dumbest International Criminals July - December of 2021, just in time for the end of the year.
One thing to keep in mind is that these segments have not been edited since they appeared in their respective lists, so references to specific days of the week as well as other small details may no longer apply. That being said we hope you enjoy this compilation as much as we enjoyed putting it together, and thanks so much for a great year everybody! With that out of the way, let’s get to the video.

When insurance salesman Bob Eidman was the victim of a terrifying crime in June of 2007, it seemed like all of the evidence pointed in one direction. That was, until nearly 3 years later, when a surprising revelation changed everything.

For many of us that live in cities or suburbs, camping trips often represent one of the few opportunities we have to experience nature for an extended period of time. And though the argument can definitely be made that what most people consider camping these days is hardly roughing it, considering the amount of creature comforts we tend to bring along, it’s easy to forget just how dangerous and unforgiving the outdoors can be, even for seasoned adventurers.
As spring turns to summer for us in the northern hemisphere and many of us eagerly plan activities for the nice weather, we decided we’d take this opportunity to creep you all out before you head off into the wilderness, by covering a few eerie cases of people who went camping and were never seen again.
Before we get to our list, we wanted to take a second to remind everyone about Crime Zone’s Patreon. In addition to ad-free versions of all of our content and weekly bonus videos for our crimes of the week and crimes of the week international videos, patrons will get exclusive monthly videos covering viewer-suggested cases. If you want even more Crime Zone content and are interested in helping to support the channel, head over to patreon.com/CrimeZone to sign up, we’d love to have you on board.

If you’ve ever traveled between cities by bus in the US or Canada, chances are you’re at least familiar with the company known as Greyhound — even if you haven’t ridden on one yourself. The bussing giant covers thousands of routes across North America, moving millions of yearly passengers, and for many, serving as an alternative to air travel.
If you’ve been following the news lately you may also be aware that as of last month the iconic company has officially closed down its Canadian operations, and will now only be offering limited cross border trips run by the US division of the company.
Though we’re guessing that most normal people simply moved on after learning this seemingly uninteresting piece of bus-related trivia, as you know Luke and I are always on the hunt for new true crime topics, and decided what better time to look into darker incidents from the company’s past.
As a result we’ve selected two disturbing stories for this week, both of which took place on Greyhound buses.
Before we get to the videos, don’t forget to like and subscribe to Crime Zone for more true crime content like this. It really helps us to continue building the channel and if you’ve watched a few of our videos already you might not even realize that you’re not subscribed. While you’re there don’t forget to hit the notification bell to stay up to date with our latest releases.
