You hear people say "I was on the right train but the wrong track." That doesn't make sense to me. If that were the case, you'd be way way off. Wrong train - right track seems more plausible...You remember things people say for whatever reason reason. The great Lou Whitney told me his theory that all songs are either train songs or boy/girl songs. And, if you could figure out how to write one that sounds like a train song but is actually a boy/girl song "Then you'd be on to something."
Maybe realizing about that wrong train - right track thing makes that all pull together just a little bit.

Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of the music that was on my turntable around the time I first started playing the guitar; a lot of rock, blues, fusion and a bit of traditional jazz. This was in the late ’70s.
I suppose I’m trying to make some kind of connections to where I am now with the music, the technology, the general atmosphere.
It’s been an interesting journey from there to here and maybe what’s influencing me right now is, some of what was influencing me then.
This little jam here is an example; some obvious Pink Floyd style chords mashed with a hip-hop type, 808, downtempo, chopped drum track.
Tiny Studio Sessions is a series of live performances featuring beats and loops I have created along with some improvisation.
