Lately I feel like a lot of important concepts like this are being lost on students. Partially because nobody is teaching it. But also because there's not a lot of native English speakers that can explain it clearly. This is The first part of a series which can be found on my website https://keenanonline.com/ At this point in jiujitsu I feel there is SO much focus on individual techniques. Its like people trying to learn are just randomly being handed puzzle pieces without the full image as reference. So over the last year I've been compiling an archive of what I'm calling Sequence Based Skill Development. I think of it like instead of puzzle pieces, I'm just handing you a bunch of small completed puzzles! I Believe it takes a lot of the guesswork out learning the complex ideas of jiujitsu. Im putting a ton (literally if it was all pennies it would weigh one ton) of money into revamping my site over this next month to be more organized with this philosophy of teaching. I would love it if you guys came through and let me know what you think of this teaching ideology

Coming straight from my laboratory deep in the Atos HQ, I give you KRAB GUARD. a tasty little morsel of what I know will become quite a extensive guard system. Ideal for people who don't like open guard, think of KRAB GUARD as secondary half guard, just backwards and better. And with less shoulder pressure in your face. The more the push, the tighter it becomes , like a chinese finger trap, once the krab guard gets a hold of you there is no letting go. I started working on this a few days ago but I was so excited about it I had to share it with you all.

Josh and Keenan talk in depth about skin infections and proper etiquette when it comes to training while you have some funk growing on your body. Ringworm, impetigo, staph, mat herps, etc... don't train when you have shit on yourself. They talked about the legend that is Kyle Maynard, congenital quadriplegic super hero who can do anything that any other full-able-bodied person. From there, they talked about the challenge of trying to control Kyle in training and some of Kyle's unique jiu-jitsu attacks based on his body type. They talked a little bit about how to recover from injuries, as well as the ideal class structure regarding warm-ups, technique, and sparring time.
