You know why this commercial character was retired? Two Words: Rule 34. Same reason Erin Esurance from Esurance was retired and Miss Pink from Rice Krispies. Rule 34 is not a rabbit hole I'd suggest any of you go down ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOG4bX4Bfr4
I remember seeing this PSA as a youngster and I thought it was fear mongering bullshit. We know the environment is shit, no need to get melodramatic about the fucking issue

Why am I showing you a commercial for Ortega Taco shells and sauce? Well, whoever wrote this commercial is one sick motherfucker. They got a 16 year old(at the time) Shawn Johnson to say "Ortega makes my taco pop". To quote the great George Carlin, "You don't have to be Fellini to figure that one out!"

This PSA didn’t have to happen but it fucking did. It happened because the NHL acted like little bitches and got rid of Pride Month jerseys all because some players were too uncomfortable. They’re asking you to put on a fucking rainbow jersey to show support to the LGBT community, they’re not asking you to get bummed up the ass by a guy named Molly

Finally I get to talk about this PSA. For a PSA about acid rain, it's not half bad and it uses an actual billboard to illustrate the point. So that's two ads in one. It's the music choice that's a bit sus. Using a break-up song as an ad song is all kinds of fucking weird

In 2012, Burger King ran an advert with Mary J Blige. "What’s so bad about that?" I hear you ask. It was an ad for chicken wraps. This gave "Al Jolson singing "Mammy" vibes. For many of my British viewers out there, y’all might know this one, for many years chicken has been a stereotyped food in the black community. It's kind of like Québécois people with Pepsi.

In sport, people in the LGBTQIA+ community aren’t looked at very fondly. So, Adidas made shoes that make straight players sympathize with the gay footballers. Thing is, this shit actually was a touching tribute to Justin Fashanu, he was an English footballer and one of the first LGBT footballers in the sport and the brother of John Fashanu who was one of the presenters on the UK version of Gladiators. They are 90% heavier, trying to score with these cleats on is like trying to score a try in rugby in flip flops. You can try but it won’t be pretty. These shoes however are incredibly fucking ugly. They look less like football boots and more like what Rupaul would wear if he had a World Cup themed party. Why not get Marc Jacobs to design the shoes? Then they'd be functional and stylish
