Russian Defense Minister General Sergei Shoigu recently visited a forward command post of the Vostok group of troops in the vicinity of Zaporozhye.
During his visit, Shoigu conducted an inspection and received detailed reports from the commanders regarding the current situation, enemy activities, and the accomplishments of Russian troops in key tactical areas.
Shoigu commended the group’s efforts in the identification and neutralization of enemy military assets and emphasized the importance of continuing reconnaissance operations, to proactively uncover enemy plans, and prevent their execution.
He also presented several awards to the servicemen of the group, including the Order of Courage, and the ‘St. George's Cross’ insignia.
