Stir & cover. Cook on high setting, stirring every 15 minutes until the chocolate has melted (about 1 hour). A special cocktail for a special cause! Join us Saturday, January 21 at noon (PST) as we host a 24-hour charity livestream of Star Wars The Old Republic on Retro Millennia's channel (link below). We will be running multi-cams so you can see each character's individual story as we play! A NEW HOPE Cocktail Recipe: - 0.75 ounces ginger liquor - 0.25 ounces Frangelico - 1 ounce light rum - spash of half & half - blue cream soda (or regular cream soda & add a drop of blue food dye) - Death Star ice mold (available on Amazon) To make the Death Star ice sphere: fill the ice mold with water and freeze for an hour and a half. The top of the sphere should now be solidified --- if not, freeze longer until you can tip it over and it will not leak water. Flip the mold over (so it's sitting on the top) and freeze for another hour and a half. Carefully remove the ice sphere from the mold. Using any metal round instrument, run it under hot water and gently press at the top of the ice sphere until it creates a hole at the top. Carefully pour out the water in the sphere. These can be made in advance and kept in the freezer on a sheet of parchment paper. To make the base: pour the ginger liquor, Frangelico, rum, and half & half into a cocktail shaker w/ ice. Shake until cold and pour into a cocktail glass. Place the ice sphere in the glass (note: it might shift around a bit). Using a meat injector or a small funnel, fill the ice sphere with the cream soda. Serve immediately.
